Thank you so much for kindly fitting us in to your very busy restaurant last night. We had a very warm welcome and the food was great, so was the service. A very enjoyable evening and very reasonably priced. Loved the busy atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble!

My son told me to come here for my birthday instead of gping to another restaurant I was going to go to.
I am so glad as from start to finish it was perfect.The staff were amazing they were polite and such lovely people.The food was amazing it's the best Italian i've ever had also big portions.I had a few Cocktails and they were the best.Dessert was lovely and the waiter even over heard it was my birthday and came out with a candle in my dessert and sang Happy Birthday, the whole restaurant were singing I was so embarrassed but it was a nice thing to do and I even got a card.The whole experience was lovely I can't fault it.I will definitely be going back to have lunch or an evening meal very soon.

My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant for years. In our view it's the best in Eastbourne. We visit while on holiday and really wish we had a restaurant like this in our home town. The staff are really nice. Some we have known for a long time. WE are all a little older but they give us a wonderful welcome. We love the humour and the attentive service. It's always busy. That's a good clue.

You really don't need to go anywhere else of you want linen tablecloths, exquisite service and genuine Italian dishes. THIS IS the place for it. We go a bit too often methinks!!!! Love it

What a find, if you want authentic Italian food and you are staying in eastbourne go here, we both had a risotto dish, the best we have had. Will visit again when back in that area

We went here at the end of a 10-day 100 mile South Downs hike. This was our celebratory dinner. From the moment we walked in the door we were welcomed with warm Italian hospitality. The waiter was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, made some excellent suggestions and served everything with flair. We had mushrooms, calamari, pasta and coffee ice cream. Everything was delicious and also lovely to look at.

Four of us were recommended to go to this restaurant. What a good tip. It was a proper Italian restaurant with charming service and great food. Prices were reasonable too. We all had such a good time we went again the following night.

I can say that there are plenty of Italian style cuisine restaurants everywhere but just a few use great quality ingredients and really care about the preparation and confection of the food. Great flavours and very rich textures make every dish something to delight.

I love this restaurant and have reviewed in the past. I had the lunch special which I did not enjoy. I guess that was my choice but will re-visit and go for main menu items. Service outstanding and attentive. My fellow diners had nice meals and were very happy

Wanted a special venue for a party of around 25 people and spoke to La Locanda. They couldn't have been more helpful although I changed the numbers a couple of times and they reserved four tables for us. Even though a few turned up late it was no problem and we were all treated royally. The service throughout our meal was flawless and everybody, yes everybody, was impressed with their meal! For me the best in town and that's for two or twenty two!! Will definitely return as will a number of new customers. Top drawer

Our party of six were booked in for 6pm on Saturday eve.....what a lovely welcome from the very friendly staff.....our round table was situated in the middle of the restaurant beautifully decorated table......the food blew me away brilliant....service good especially as the place was getting very busy......I can strongly recommend this lovely restaurant....

We had diner with 2 on a Tuesday. The place was full at 21:00! I had Salmon as main dish, was very well and panna cotta for dessert. And limoncello of course with espresso.

Welcomed and shown quickly to tables then greeted by Luca the owner. Olives French bread and butter on the table. We had the mussels which were very tender and a lovely flavour, my husband had the scollops, and two of us the veal in a wine, mushroom and cream sauce which again had a wonderful flavour and tender. The puddings were also good. Most of the dishes can be gluten free so there is plenty of chose if on a gluten free diet, Evan a choice of puddings, I had a wonderful chocolate fudge gluten free cake. We had a dish of vegetables that included broccoli carrots and mange tout as well as fried potatoes. The service was friendly, helpful and prompt. It was lovely going to a restaurant where food was freshly prepared and nothing forgotten from the plate that had been stated in the menu.
