My husband and I married back in August 2024 at The Ravenswood and without a doubt, John would be our choice every single time. Thanks to John, we have over 1000 pictures of our special day to look back on. Being able to go back and relive the day, and also see parts of the day that we did not see has been truly wonderful.<br>We booked John well in advance (and I'd suggest you to do the same as well!) but what was really nice was that John reached out to say that another couple had enquired and he wanted to let us know first before proceeding with them. This was a really lovely thing to do, as business is business, but we would have been gutted to have lost John as our photographer. Then, spending the next 14 months seeing the weddings he was capturing really reassured us that we were in safe hands.<br>On the lead up to the wedding, John touched base with us and we had our pre-wedding Zoom call. We spoke about what we wanted from the photographs, and in what order we wanted people to be photographed. Some advice, be brutal on your photograph groupings; we wanted lots of different groups of people in various photographs but we had to narrow these down, and I'm so pleased we did (thanks to John's sound knowledge and advice) otherwise we would've missed people out, which we wanted to avoid at all costs.<br>On the day, John mingled and SO many of our guests said to us that he was just like another guest, but with two cameras hanging round his neck! The banter, the laughter, the jokes - everything and more that we wanted from our photographer. John also took Ellie from Candidly Caught under his wing and supported her with what we wanted on the day as well; a dream duo!<br>Whilst on our own with John and Ellie, John guided us through different shots - a selfie at home in front of a mirror, or before a night out, is very different to having your photo professionally taken in front of guests, or in a specific location like a wedding venue. We were so grateful to John for working with us and supporting us with this.<br>We received our album earlier than we expected, and not one day has gone by where we have not looked at them. The quality is fantastic, and we are already planning on what photos are being printed and put up around our home.<br>We will be forever grateful to John, thank you John x

8th August 2024....<br>Our Perfect Magical Day captured by John.<br><br>From first seeing Johns work on an open event at The Ravenswood, our chosen wedding location. We knew he was the one to capture our day.<br><br>From our pre wedding day meeting, it reassured and instilled our decision that this was the best decision we made. Fast forward a month to the morning of our day. We were greeted with the fantastic John himself. I have never been photogenic and would rather be in the side wings opposed to being in the limelight. However on Our wedding day this wasn't an option. We had John photograph our September 2024 wedding and he was brilliant. From the very start at our first meeting on zoom it was like he had know us for years. A massive thank you goes to John and Warren who really contributed to making our day so special and they captured it beautifully. Our wedding photos are everything we could have wanted and more.<br><br>My husband<br>George and I got married at The Ravenswood March this year and John was recommended by the venue, now I know why!<br><br>He took us to all the beautiful spots and knew the venue inside out. We were very nervous about doing all the ‘posey’ shots but John made us ALL feel so comfortable along with having constant laughs and jokes throughout the day. From the start John was fantastic, easy to communicate with and very prompt with his responses. Neither my husband or I enjoy our photos being taken, for the most part of the day we didn't even know he was there. When it came to group photos and photos of just the two of us he made us so relaxed and at ease. He was also very conscious of me getting cold given it was the 21st December!

Very grateful for him stopping his food to quickly run and grab the most beautiful sunset photos during the meal.

Our photos are amazing, and it's been so enjoyable to relive the day at each point, when the final photos were ready and when we've recently collected our photo album.

We feel so lucky that we had the pleasure of having John photograph our wedding. There is a reason John gets booked up fast! I didn’t feel the need to check out loads of photographers, from speaking to John first time, he was so professional but also has such a friendly personality and puts you at ease, it just felt right. The main reason we wanted to go with John is because of his familiarity with Ravenswood, our wedding venue. It’s literally his second home! This meant that on the day our photos were swiftly and smoothly organised and John knew all the best places for some beautiful shots and has a lovely repour with all of the staff and other suppliers. John took care of everything and ran us through exactly what would be happening. He kept in contact with us regularly during the lead up to the big day and had a video call, we felt in very safe hands with John.
On the day John became so much more than just our photographer. As well as zooming around the place taking amazing photos and being very subtle (so we ended up with all sorts of fantastic candid photos that we didn’t even notice John taking!) John helped out with all sorts of things, from holding my dress, liaising with other suppliers, sending messages, he worked well in tandem with our videographer and had us laughing and feeling at ease all day long. We are so grateful to John as neither my husband or I are that comfortable around cameras but John made the whole experience so relaxed and enjoyable. He genuinely made our day better just by being part of it.
So many of our guests commented on how great John was.
As for the finished photos, John got these back to us not long after our wedding and I still can’t get over how beautiful all of them are. He photographed everything we asked for and more. His natural, candid style is exactly what we wanted and we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. Not only are his photos incredible but he is professional, knows his stuff, polite, nothing was ever too much trouble and just a general all round great guy. We would 100% recommend John and it was a pleasure to have him capture our day. Thank you once again John.

Without a doubt i would not hesitate to book John again, he was outstanding from start to finish. I cannot speak highly enough of him. As odd as it sounds John completed our wedding day and I feel it would not have been such an amazing day if John had not of been there too! John was on it from early in the morning getting ready to late evening, he made me feel at ease and all my worries faded. I did not have to worry about timings as John just seemed to effortlessly take us through the day. Johns attention to detail in organising the best place to shoot pictures made us feel confident and comfortable in all our shoots. Simply Superb! From the moment we picked John to shoot our wedding he was on hand to answer any questions, set up a pre meeting and was incredible on the day of the wedding. Made me feel totally at ease as I can’t stand my photo taken but most of all made my wife’s day with his fantastic photography. Wow! John and his daughter shot our wedding in April, and they were fantastic! We were lucky enough to have the content creation package added and it is a must have! Being the bride, there is so much of the actual wedding day that you miss out on, but with the amazing video Farrah shot, we have so many memories that we will truly treasure forever! From behind the scenes of the photography, to us all getting ready, and me walking down the aisle, the video has it all. Every time we watch it we are in constant tears! Our family and friends have also said that the video is beautiful and that John and Farrah were a great addition to our wedding!<br>Thank you so much to you both.
