How do you rate a pier. Has music venue places to eat. The music may be a bit much for those who like to just experience the sea....

We have been to Eastbourne 5 times this year.
It's an hour away,
So we check out the weather a few days before.
If it's going to be lovely we're straight on Booking.com & we're off.
After check in we're straight down to the pier.
We get Fish & Chips from the chippy at the entrance.
Then we walk all the way down the pier to the bar at the end.
They have a live guitarist outside if the when the weather allowes.
You can get a decent pint inside.
The food to be fair Does look lovely, though we've always just eaten.
There are the usual Penny Arcades, Trinket shops & a Greek Gyros place too.
Everywhere on the pier seems to be having a coat of paint or a spruce up.
They reslly are making an effort, not just on the pier But the town itself.
The photos of the bands are cool tables from the bar.

A typical pier. A bit shabby with the usual mix of vendors of fast food, ice cream, souvenirs and drinks.

What a wonderful pier. Went here on a lovely sunny October day, Fish and chip shop at the entrance sell great fish that's freshly cooked. Freshly caught that day. Staff are friendly too. Disabled access also. Because it was October not everything was open. But all the same it's great to be able to walk the full length of the Pier. Sadly no dogs are allowed with the exception of guide dogs.

Really nice old victorian pier. Used it a few times during our stay: visited the 'musies', ate chips at the benches, just wandered around enjoying the sea and coastal views. Worth a visit. Suitable for the whole family - wheelchair and pram friendly.

In my opinion, Eastbourne is the Gem of the South East coast.

Definitely worth visiting. Not overcrowded, with typical English atmosphere. We had a lovely stroll and enjoyed a great concert. Definitely recommend

Great pier. Lovely victorian coffee shop half way across. Lovely home made cakes and a crazy indoor golf course to burn off the calories. Well worth a visit when in Eastbourne.
