Eastbourne Pier is a popular Victorian landmark located on the southern coast of England, in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Here is an objective review of the pier:

Pros:

1. Historical Charm: Built in 1870, the pier retains much of its Victorian architecture, making it a visually appealing structure and a nostalgic experience for visitors.

2. Views and Photography: The pier offers stunning views of the sea and Eastbourne seafront, making it a great spot for photography.

3. Dining Options: There are a few cafés, restaurants, and bars on the pier, including an iconic tea room, offering refreshments with a view.

4. Recreation: Visitors can enjoy traditional amusements, such as arcades, which add a fun element for families and children.

5. Accessibility: Its central location on Eastbourne's seafront makes it easily accessible from the town centre and other nearby attractions.

Cons:

1. Limited Activities: Compared to larger piers in places like Brighton or Bournemouth, Eastbourne Pier has fewer attractions and activities.

2. Commercialisation: Some visitors feel that the pier has lost a degree of its charm due to a focus on commercial ventures rather than preserving its original Victorian ambiance.

3. Maintenance: While efforts have been made to restore parts of the pier, some areas might feel dated or in need of further upkeep.

Overall Impression:

Eastbourne Pier is a quintessential seaside attraction with historical significance. While it may not be as bustling or modern as larger piers, its charm lies in its simplicity, stunning views, and nostalgic atmosphere. It’s worth a visit for a leisurely stroll, a cup of tea, or just to soak in the seaside ambiance.

I love it. It’s a bit calmer than Brighton pier but for that reason it feels a bit more freeing and also makes it seem like there’s more space. There was this fancy restaurant with the way up to the top chained up for some reason, i’m not sure 😭 but the view was lovely during summertime and I would definitely go back, it’s so calming and perfect.

Eastbourne is a typical 'English seaside town', buildings screaming Victorian grandeur of days gone by, now often dilapidated. But still mostly charming. Lots of hotels.
The promenade itself is well-maintained with pretty string lights at night, well-tended flower beds and of course the old pier is its jewel.
Its been relatively recently revamped and has solid a charm of its own.
You can find all you'd expect here - doughnuts, fish and chips, afternoon tea and arcades.

El lugar es hermoso, como turista puedo decir que los paisajes al anochecer se ve excelente el cielo y el mar, además no veras aglomeraciones ya que permanece vacío.

The beachfront is quite nice, with a range of restaurants for different budgets. There are many fish and chips places that offer takeaways as well as eating in. It's nice to enjoy the food and view the sea 🌊. The seaguls might want to join your meal, though.

Most of the businesses were closed, not overly impressed with it all.

This place looks amazing from outside but once you get there, it was not what I expected. Most of the restaurants and shops were closed and nothing exciting there. I went there on a Saturday afternoon.
