Visited the pier which is okay although not much on it. We went in the small arcade at the entrance and sunk fifty 2p's into the game machine. Not a single tuppence came out. Are they stuck in?

Love the pier and always have to do a quick circuit when passing through. The open space is great on the pier. I'd like to see more local crafts and art on the pier. It is a great focal point but a shame that so much of the usual tat is on sale.

A good cafe/bar, great food would be a real bonus too. I've been photographing the pier for over a decade and it always brings a smile!

They all love to have a go at the lovely man who has rejuvenated the pier, but, without him, it would still be a burnt out pier. Lovely picnic tables, nicely redone. Well done Mr. Gold Man.

The pier is in wonderful shape. Clean and very tidy. The beach is pebbles but very clean. The promenade looked absolutely gorgeous in the sunshine. Blue skies and sea air. We really enjoyed ourselves. We will go back again.

it’s a thing of beauty from by gone days and I’m pleased it’s being maintained however, it has a bit of a clinical atmosphere I thought and the gift shops a little tacky BUT go and walk round as the view across the sea and along the coast is pretty.

A must go place, the Victorian tea rooms, wonderful service and reasonably priced. A pot of cream tea and jam and cream scones. All for £3.95. The fish and chips are heavenly and the ice cream is to die for.
