Eastbourne Pier

Every pier we visit is measured against our favourite - Cromer, North Norfolk. Eastbourne is in that traditional style but with some little parades of shops as you go along, an amusement arcade and places to eat and drink. It was a shame we couldn't go around the end - I assume this is repair work, and there were some sections that had ugly looking concrete/pebbledashed flooring, but it was nice and had good views along the seafront. Plus it is free to access.

It has been about 25 years since my last visit. There are lots of open seating areas, kiosks, cafes and bars.

The Victorian old pier is very good. It has old slot machine and lovely old Tea Rooms. The bar at the end of pier as music memorabilia on the tables and walls, from Frank Sanarta to the Elvis Persley. Delightful 😊

A beautiful ran pier and after the fire which ruined it it has been brought back to its resplendent condition.

The Pier is old and tired and under some repair at the sea end. I didn't find anything of interest on it.

Spielhölle. Wer es mag ist hier gut aufgehoben. Wir waren außerhalb der Saison dort und da waren eben nur die Abzock-Höhlen geöffnet.

Very traditional nice pier on the seafront in Eastbourne. Entrance is free, which is good, but there is a charge for the toilets nearby, which is not. There is extensive parking at reasonable prices along the seafront.

All the usual things you would expect are provided on the pier. A few food places, a rather good plave that does decent quality at good prices, glass figurines and the like and of course the amusements.

This pier is what you would expect when coming to a British seaside town. A relaxing walk out to sea, nice views along the coast and a drink towards the end if you are so inclined. It was a hot day, so the pier was busy, but not mobbed, which is just how we like it.

Beautiful Pier, unfortunately the back part (facing the sea) was closed off but all in all it’s really a must-visit if you’re in the area. Lots of seating available on the pier and a quite good fish and chips restaurant at the entrance of the pier
