I like to visit piers to see what surprises are in store, eastbourne pier has a lovely tea room, a shop which sold household items but mainly souvenirs, mainly London based products not so much eastbourne. Bit disappointing with the souvenirs if I wanted London keyrings etc I'd have gone to London.

List a lot in ambience since the fire. Now just an open space - too windy or wet in bad weather and too open and exposed when very hot.
Lots of people flouting smoking and alcohol rules and no enforcement.

Amusements are terrible. Other than that, the places to eat are quite reasonable and tasty. Always get a donut from the front of the pier!

Lovely spot but pier has wasted space which would add interest. Can't walk right round as end was blocked off with no explanation. Potentially could be amazing.
