We had a lovely fish and chip meal at the pub! Food was great and served very quickly even though the pub was busy. Staff were really friendly especially Kieran who served with a smile, like all of the others :) would recommend visiting for food/drinks and the menu has a lot of options. Would visit again.

Staff are top here, if you're coming for dinner I'd recommend you book in advance as it can get busy.<br><br>We were served by Kieran, who is clearly good at his job - he managed to spark conversation, make us laugh and importantly give us a fantastic service - I don't think it took longer than a minute or so from ordering a drink to it arriving.<br><br>The pub itself is dog friendly and COVID safe with partitions between tables and alcohol gel placed on entry, all of the staff wear masks and socially distance themselves.<br><br>If you're in Eastbourne definitely visit here for a classic seaside pub.

Excellent service and was made to feel so welcome! The manager Ollie bent over backwards for us and the food was of a great quality and home made. FAULTLESS! Really did make our little getaway to Eastbourne truly memorable.

We didn't eat here and the staff were fantastic. Very helpful and professional. In this strange covid age. We had 6 drinks and we spent £30.80. Seemed a tad expensive and the barmen couldn't print a receipt. A good way to be a bit cheeky.

Amazing dog friendly pub. Very attentive to dogs and people alike. Brilliant selection of vegan food which tasted delightful. Would definitely recommend. Lovely staff team, lovely food. Will definitely come back again

Came to this pub as it was in the 50% off scheme .Excellent food and service although it was quite a long wait for dinner.However they did tell us .The 2 vegitarian dishes my daughter chose were not available but found something she could eat .Great portion size and all homemade we enjoyed our mesl

Ate there on three occasions and used the bar on two occasions over a three day period and everything as perfect as it can get. Friendly staff (even remembered our dogs name). The food was excellent and I recommend the Steak and Ale pie meal although the other meals i had over the 3 days were just as good.

Charlie is very professional and welcoming.<br>And has great people skills. Service is a little strange. A lot of staff. Swapping roles.<br>But it's all new every week. So well done. Give Charlie a pay rise. He's worth more.

Fantastic staff, very welcoming and under the current Covid 19 situation they are very clear what needs to be observed. Constantly cleaning tables too. Food great, they said there may be a wait but didn't have to wait long. Definitely will revisit next time in Eastbourne.

we went on a sunday but the roasts had run out, so we had the ribs , do try them ! Pubs on main road opposite the beach so sitting outsides a bit noisy

Excellent food served by genuinely friendly and efficient staff, nice clear Coronavirus precautions with two-hour slots so that you don't feel rushed. At first we were a little disappointed to see the reduced menu but the burger was almost a steak, the salmon perfectly cooked and the whole meal was very tasty and satisfying. We had a gorgeous bottle of (red) wine with our food and left feeling very happy with our holiday dining experience. Thanks to all staff for such a lovely evening.

We love it here and come whenever we’re in Eastbourne. Their COVID precautions are great, one way system, track and trace, app for ordering if required, all staff in masks or visors and screens at the bar. Lovely food on both visits as always! The garlic mushrooms and halloumi sticks are amazing!! Thank you... see you soon!
