If you're looking for a Sunday roast that hits all the right notes, look no further than the Anchor & Crown. We came in expecting a decent pub lunch, we left genuinely impressed and fully satisfied. The roast beef was the star of the show: tender, beautifully cooked and sliced generously. The roast potatoes were perfectly done: crunchy on the outside, fluffy inside and seasoned just right. The accompanying mash was smooth and creamy, and the seasonal veg still had bite. There was not a soggy carrot in sight. Everything was brought together with a rich, savory gravy. Portion size? Generous. Price? Incredibly fair for the quality. Service was friendly and efficient, with food arriving promptly even during the Sunday rush. The cozy, classic pub atmosphere only added to the charm. This wasn’t just a meal. It was a proper Sunday tradition, done right. Highly recommend. ✨

He was very impressed with the burger being so tasty, and all of it was freshly cooked.<br>I had the chilli con carni. Very nice 👌..didn't think it would have a kick at all, but it did just right. Rice was cooked perfectly. Garlic bread was a nice surprise, but don't bother with the salad.<br><br>Well worth the money. We will be back as we want to try some more dishes 😋

It's okay, steak and ale pie nice but the gravy was a bit weird. This pub, although greene king is not part of the AA discount scheme. Dog friendly.

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!<br><br>This was by far one of the best Cantinas that I have ever been to. The Homemade lasagna was amazing, and I also really enjoyed the Cod and chips! As the leader of the Galactic Empire, sometimes I need a break from hunting down the Rebel Scum, and this is the perfect place to relax from the politics of the galactic senate. I've even been considering brining my loyal imperial subjects down here, as it is by far, one of the best cantinas in the galaxy. The only problem I had, was a run-in with some local deathstick dealer and his Rebel friends. I have now alerted my Emperor, Sheev Palpatine of this incident and we have dispatched a legion of my best troops to deal with this rabble.<br><br>Next time, I'll bring the crew of the Lightcruiser Leviathan with me. I think they'll enjoy this place as much as I did. Simply, it was "a fine addition to my collection" of restaurants.<br><br>Long live the Empire!<br><br>- Grand Moff Youngling, The Galactic Empire!

Dîner typique pub anglais en famille.<br>Plats très bons et très généreusement servis!<br>Serveuses très sympas et souriantes.<br>On recommande pour un passage sur le front de mer de Eastbourne.<br>Possibilité de venir dîner avec les enfants jusqu'à 21h. La serveuse nous a prévenu à notre arrivée.

Came here for Sunday lunch. Food was fantastic. I had roast turkey, my family had lamb shank and burgers. We all loved our food. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Gave a bowl of water and a treat to my dog. Lovely seafront location. Nice sea breeze blowing through while it was 28 degrees outside. Great pub, I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Lovely place to stop for a drink on the patio or grab a meal from their extensive menu. I heartily recommend the pie as a dead set winner. Reasonable prices and friendly service.

Just eaten Sunday lunch at the friendly pub. I had roast beef with roast potatoes, Yorkshire, horseradish and mixed veg with lashings of gravy, accompanied by a pint of Long Man Long Blonde. The beef was well cooked and perfectly cut, the roast potatoes crisp and not too flowery, there was a good selection of veg, and the gravy was thick and tasty. It might not be nouvelle cuisine but it was exactly what an English pub Sunday lunch should be and reasonably priced. The service was prompt and friendly; my wife's needs were accommodated without fuss. What more could one ask?
