We came here on the back of some recommendations off Facebook. We love to go to Greece on holidays so we thought we would try Athens. We were not dissapointed, the atmosphere was electric on a Saturday night, lots of singing, dancing and fun was had. The place is small but can cram a lot of people in, we didn't have any problems with wait times for food unlike we had heard from other reviews. I think, especially on a Saturday night, you come prepared to wait for food if you hit it when it's very busy. We soaked up all the fun they offered and had a great time on our first date night since pre-lockdown. We shall definitely return again soon

We were on holiday in Eastbourne we went to this restaurant my partner and I and his brother the food was amazing all cooked fresh desserts were very good hand made with fresh ingredients the whole experience was good it is a family business and they were very friendly good atmosphere will definitely go there again if we visit Eastbourne highly recommend this restaurant

This is a rather lovely family run traditional Greek restaurant. The food is sublime, all homemade of course, and the service can only be described as stupendously brilliant, a wonderful, inviting and friendly atmosphere is guaranteed every visit.<br><br>All the food on the menu is exceptional but I have taken a liking to their authentic moussaka, the mint and cinemon really complements the dish.<br><br>We are incredibly lucky to have a sprinkling of fantastic restaurants in Eastbourne and, in my opinion, Athens is right up there with the best of them.<br><br>Top tip - do book to avoid disappointment 👍

It was alright. Having been in Greece and tasted real moussaka there I would question why they put mint in the one here? 🤔<br>Probably to suit the taste of the locals, but this is sooo wrong. In additio, it was microwave reheated.<br>3🌟 because the grilled octopus 🐙 was amazing!

Visited for the first time on Saturday. This is family run business. The people here are very welcoming and hospitable, makes you feel like one of the family.There is a great and lively atmosphere here with guest karaoke, which is a great laugh and gets everyone involved. The food is authentic greek cuisine and is very tasty. I recommend the baby squid as a starter.<br><br>The prices are very reasonable.<br><br>Dont visit if your in a rush, rather sit back and relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Greeks dont want you in and out like a lot of restaurants do to make more money, but rather let you enjoy yourself and the whole experience.<br><br>The restaurant and toilets were clean.<br><br>I would definately recommend visiting here especially on a Saturday. Probably best to book ahead because this place looks popular with the locals, however try on the door like we did and they will make every effort to get you a table.

I cannot say enough about the food. Simply you get more than what you really expect from good quality Mediterranean restaurant. The food is amazingly delicious. Portions are prepared in a good size and the plate is designed tastefully. Starters are amazing. Staff are welcoming, talk to you respectfully and help you choose what you like.
