Location excellent, staff helpful and friendly, food good choice and well cooked, has lift to all floors. You do however have to go up steps to get into the hotel. Bed linen and towels clean on arrival. Drinks at the bar reasonable prices. However the decor and net curtains need some TLC. Overall good value for money.

Convenient for our trip
Our room was small and we paid an extra £10 per night to have a sea view but in the way of a reasonable sea view was lots of scaffolding but after our journey from Plymouth Devon we were to tired to suggest moving.

5 stars for the five nights I stayed, about the safety there hasn’t been any security breach in the hotel, there is also a single that says “Help Wanted”, the only thing I saw is that a employee called Freddy acted quirky at night, other than that

Lovely stay at this reasonably priced very central hotel
Good value for what it offered and a fantastic location. Lovely staff all very helpful, room was clean, and kept to a good standard throughout our visit.

Run down but functional
Everything was pretty old and run down but functional and it was fine for a budget stay. The location is excellent - right on the sea front. The staff were nice and helpful e.g. helping explain parking on local roads and providing permits. The room was clean enough and the bed old but comfy enough.
The hotel is in need of a serious refurb and deep clean - outside and in. No WiFi in the rooms (only in the lobby). Dirty communal areas (stairs etc.), empty beer cans on the balcony of our room.
