It is that time of year when enthusiastic gardeners keen on their vegetable plots begin preparing the soil with vast quantities of manure with expectation of glorious crops from late spring on into the Summer.
I am a fair weather gardener and admit to finding vegetable growing a little daunting. The preparation alone fills me with anxiety.
