A fabulous evening of Jazz and an art exhibition and auction are set to raise funds for the arts department at Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn. It’s all happening at the Small World Centre in Cardigan on Friday, July 17 from 19:00.

A great night of musical entertainment and an art exhibition from some of the most talented young people around is aiming to raise much needed cash for arts equipment and software for Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn.
On Friday, July 17, the English, Music and Art departments of the school will combine forces to stage the event.
Jazzy-P and the Yahoos will show off their distinctive take on small-scale ‘big band jazz’. Their music is full of sensitivity, improvisation and virtuosity. They will also accompany poetry readings by A-level pupils to create a fabulous fusion of music and words.
There will be a stunning exhibition of work by A-level photography and art students on the first floor of the theatre – and it will all be for sale.
And while enjoying the work of some of the best young artists around, you will have the chance to win professional work in a postcard lottery. Several professional artists have contributed postcard-sized paintings and images to be auctioned on the night.
Tickets for the event are £8 (adults), or £6 (18 and under).
