When eating out do you:--
love not good but great food?
Do you expect your food to be freshly cooked with love and care?
Do you demand good and attentive service?
Do you like to know where the produce comes from?
If the answer is a resounding Yes then
Traeth Bar and Grill is the place for you. Everything but everything including the bread is freshly made on the premises.  The meat is fresh and never frozen.  In fact Nigel really prides himself on his choice of suppliers some of which are local to the area.

Hubby and I went to eat at Traeth on 30th December.  An odd day to be eating out after the excesses of Christmas and New Year ‘s Eve to follow but it was my birthday!  It is a bit of damp squib of an evening as nobody usually wants to go out the night before the big New Year Party but at Traeth there was a lovely chatty atmosphere with around 25 people eating and drinking.  Testament indeed to the food and place.  We had a fabulous meal, David chose steak, cooked to perfection just as ordered and I had Brill which was a delight.  I enjoyed a dream of a dessert – burnt orange panacotta – sublime.  David loves his puds and had a mouth watering warm chocolate brownie and hot chocolate sauce – you can never have too much chocolate according to David!
Since New Year they have been closed but reopen tonight!!

Take a look at a sample of their Dinner menu here and their new Steak menu here  note at the bottom of the steak menu is a guide to how steaks are cooked from 'blue' to well done and what to expect. Very useful!

Traeth is well worth the drive to New Quay (Ceredigion).  It took us around half an hour from near Cenarth to reach Traeth.  They are right on the harbour and on the first floor.  I cannot wait for the lighter evenings as they have a roomy balcony which overlooks the harbour and beach. Fabulous place to watch the sun go down.  They are also open during the day for coffee, cakes and lunch.  We are planning an early morning Sunday walk along the coast to New Quay and will drop in for Coffee and a read of the papers which are on hand.
Make the effort  to book a table you will not be disappointed.
