Pembrokeshire People First’s Christmas Fair is on Saturday 6th December at Clynfyw Care Farm, Abercych—do come!
‘Over the last three years we have seen from first hand how important independent advocates are,’ said Alex Martin, Clynfyw Care Farm’s Registered Manager. ‘We are so pleased to support Pembrokeshire People First by hosting their Christmas Fair again this year. This is the sixth fair and it looks likely to be the biggest and best!’
Clynfyw Care Farm provides opportunities for disabled and vulnerable people to engage in a large number of microenterprises from craft-making and apple juicing to a small-scale pig unit and refurbishing wheelchairs for rehousing in Africa. ‘The enterprises are a useful tool,’ said Alex, ‘but our main goal is to be totally person-centred, enabling people to engage in our community to their full ability. Please come along and support this event. There are Christmas presents waiting to be purchased and its a great chance to learn more about the marvellous work of Pembrokeshire People First. They are an inspiration to us all.’
‘Pembrokeshire People First is a charity that is run by and for adults with learning disabilities in Pembrokeshire, and our Christmas Fair will be no different!" said Karen Chandler, Project Coordinator. ‘There will be craft tables, demonstrations, a barby with Clynfyw sausages, exhibitions, tea and coffee and a chance to meet our team. For members, supporters and families, it's a cracking day out, and we are so grateful to the lovely people at Clynfyw for making it happen.’
The Christmas Fair runs from 10-3.30 at Clynfyw Farm, Abercych.
