Networking Event
21st March 2009

The networking event recently held at Coracles Health & Leisure Club was a great success with over 30 businesses in attendance. It was an informal and relaxed atmosphere and from the buzz in the room everyone was chatting!!

We had an informative and fascinating talk about Coffee given by Rob Gray of Allaway's Coffee & Tea Company and Barista Neale made some wonderful Cappucinos and Espressos for everyone to try! The Knicker Mocha Glory was splendid if not Calorific!! Not for the weight watcher but a scrummy delight never the less. It is hoped Neale or Rob will contribute via the blog on the art of great tasting coffee. Apparently it is a huge passion and there are Barista competitions. So watch this space for more information. Allaways are also holding a Barista training on 30th March at Coracles Health & Leisure Club. see the events pages for details.

Clive Davies from Telemat ICT then spoke to everyone about bi-lingual websites. This was an extremely appropriate time to be discussing this subject as the Welsh Assembly Government is promoting the Welsh language on websites. Apparently there are grants available. For more information do contact Clive at Telemat. I shall also be asking him to contribute with information on bi-lingual websites via the blog.

A delicious buffet was served, but it did not stop the discussions. I do know business was done on the night - in fact Dragon Grafix says he regularly gets business at the networking meetings. In an informal setting you can find out what a business needs or requires and you never know your business might just be in a position to help.

The next networking event will be at the end of April.
