Mothering Sunday
8th March 2010

With this stunning sunny weather it feels so good to be alive.  I am sure even the grumpiest person would feel good on a day like today. It looks as if it will continue through to the weekend – Let’s hope so as it is Mothering Sunday on 14th March

So how are you going to show your appreciation for your Mother?
The first thing that springs to mind is beautiful spring flowers.  I know that Pink Orchid Florist has a superb range of quality flowers including the perennial favourites the sunny daffodil.  Pink Orchid has a great offer too so take advantage of it by clicking here.

How about taking Mum out to lunch?  If it is as promised, a gloriously sunny day, what better location than the Links Restaurant in Newport Links Golf Club, with its panoramic view overlooking the fabulous beach, Carningli Mountain and Dinas Head.  Perfect.  To book call  01239 639031
Always very popular is the Nags Head in Abercych,   but tables always go fast so book now. (01239 639096) I
f the weather is good it might just be warm enough to sit by the river.  Still thinking on the Al fresco theme Gardd y Nos (01239 639085) is another fabulous restaurant where the food is always good and they have outside seating should it be warm enough. For a change why not consider Coracles, (01239 639077)  They do an excellent Sunday Lunch and it will certainly be special on Mother's day. Finally on Restaurants there is the Yr Hen Fuwch Goch (01239 639088) in Newcastle Emlyn - another great eatery.  In fact all mentioned were in the top ten of the most loved businesses in the area. Do have a look at their testimonials.
If you are thinking in terms of a gift for your Mother  try Mundos at the top of the High Street in Cardigan they have a superb array of wonderful gifts.  Definitely worth a visit, and whilst in Town call in to Ellianas, in the Black Lion Mews.  Nerys will be thrilled to help you select a gift.  But why not think of a real pampering gift such as a gift voucher for a treatment at Tranquil Moments.
If you are wanting to take your Mother out for the day why not consider the National Botanic Gardens of Wales or Llanerchaeron in Aberaeron or Aberglasney all of which do lunches.
May the sun shine on Mothering Sunday and you all have a wonderful time.
