Premier event by the river

Thousands of visitors flock to the River and Food Festival in Cardigan every year. The event is in its seventeenth year and the aim is the same as ever – to celebrate the quality and diversity of the superb independent food producers that abound in Wales. http://www.cardigan-food-festival.co.uk/

You can enjoy the flavours of real local produce from award winning cheeses to rare breeds of meat, produced and sold by people who really care about food and how it is produced.

The event runs from 10am to 5pm and there is a free park and ride service to and from the town.

There is great fun for all the family, with cooking demonstrations and a full programme of river events, plus entertainment and activities for children. There is always plenty to eat, drink, see and enjoy.

The cookery demonstrations are always popular attractions and will feature presentations from some well known and local chefs.

The popular Food Court will be there again with masses of seating and tables by the river, so all visitors can eat and drink in comfort.

The Entertainments Area will feature musical performers, singers, dancers and groups from a range of genres, including folk, rock  and classics.

There will be fun on the river throughout the day -- from boat rides and displays by the RNLI to longboat races and coracles – with a perfect river-side view available from the Festival site.

Make sure you don’t miss the duck race!

Small World Theatre will be there again offering great entertainment for kids.
