“Come dine with me” has a following here in Abercych . 5 of us decided to hold our own “Come dine with me” on every Monday for 5 weeks through the dark days of winter and the winner was to be rewarded with a dinner out at a restaurant of her choice. Sam (Samantha) from the Nags Head Pub won and deservedly so! Sam chose Yr Hen Fuwch Goch the home of the irascible French chef and Masterchef Professional semi-finalist Ludo Dieumguard. We all went along with our partners (our partners played an important role during our Come dine with me! They kept the wine flowing and washed up! )
Once again Ludo created a mouth watering menu. From a wonderful tomato mousse to Frog Legs for starters and for the main we had a choice of a succulent fillet steak, slow roasted belly of pork or pan fried Sea Bass. Everyone thought their choice was delectable! The desserts were completely scrumptious. My hubby just loved the chocolate brownies – the best he has ever tasted and I waxed lyrical over my goats cheese floating within raspberry jelly - different and delicious. This was followed by a terrine of cheese – so very yummy.
