Christmas Lights Switched On at Victorian Night in Cardigan

Come and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere Victorian style in Cardigan on Tuesday 8th December.
Priory Street, Pendre and the High Street will be closed to traffic from 3pm to enable the stall holders and other side shows to set up.

Most of the shops will be open giving you the ideal time to browse for all your Christmas presents.
Why not pop into Ellianas in the Black Lion Mews just off the High Street.  They have a cornucopia array of gifts for both young and old.  Some fabulous jewellery, cards , scarves, watches, ornaments in fact something for everyone – it is definitely worth a visit.

Cardigan Chamber of Commerce have organised the event and it all kicks off around 4pm

Musicians, Carol Singers, Choirs and dancing will be working their way around the streets to entertain everyone together with Stilt Walkers and jugglers.

For the young children Santa has a warm welcome in the Guildhalll from 5.15 to 6.15 pm.
Donkeys will be giving rides up and down Priory Street
.

The Grand Parade will start at 7pm from the top of Grosvenor Hill and will be led by the Army Cadet Band and include local groups such as the Scouts and Guides.
Councillor Cole will be switching on the Christmas  lights.

Come in Victorian Costume.  There are prizes for the best dressed Adults and the best dressed children. Councillor and Mrs Lewis will be judging.
 
Councillor Cole will be judging the best dressed window, the first prize will be 6 months membership with thebestof Cardigan  & Teifi Valley worth over £500

There will also be:
Food & Craft Stalls
Fair ground rides
Morris Dancers
Victorian Games

And a not to be missed Tug of War! To be held outside the Guildhall at 8pm to round off the evening.
