It is time again for the Prestigious Chef’s Night Out at Holland House in Cardiff.

The evening is a dinning extravaganza uniting the culinary talents of 17 of the finest chefs in the country including our very own Ludovic Dieumegard to raise money for Ty Hafan, the South Wales hospice that provides care and support for life limited children, young people and their families.

Ludo competed in BBC’s Master chef Professionals and made it all the way to the semi finals, he will be devising and cooking an exclusive menu for this special night.  However guests are not sure who will be cooking their 3 course meal until the very evening as a draw is made.  This year it may be James Sommerin, Martin Bunos, Adam Whittle Angela Hartnett or Ludo.  Each Chef serves a table of 10 and no doubt there will be a great sense of excitement on the night fuelled with camaraderie and a pinch of professional rivalry!

Its worth noting that all the chefs in one way or another have a connection with Wales, either being Welsh in origin or have or are working in a Welsh Restaurant.  All the Chefs invited unhestitatingly agreed to come on board.

Ludo’s at The Coopers is in a class of its own serving locally sourced produce with a contemporary French twist.  Ludo is the inspiration and talent that delivers multi flavoured sensations you will not experience anywhere else.  He and his partner Lowri are a formidable team and with their new(ish) arrival Ella are thrilled to be taking part in this challenge as they know it is for such a good cause.

David Loosemore and Huw Edwards, the organisers of Chef's Night Out wanted to do something to help other families and their life-limited children through the work of Tŷ Hafan. The idea for Chefs’ Night Out came from a similar event held in London and organised by Chris Corbin; the man who turned The Ivy, Le Caprice, J Sheekey and The Wolseley into London’s hottest eateries.

Speaking about Chefs’ Night Out, Frank Ady of Tŷ Hafan said, “This has become a fantastic fundraising event for Tŷ Hafan and our sincere thanks go out to David, Huw and everyone involved in making it such a success”.

Although this is a Cardiff event the funds raised have, and will, benefit families, like David’s from all over South and West Wales by helping Tŷ Hafan meet the needs of the ever-growing numbers of families who so desperately need our services”.
