Based on the old Monsanto site in Trumpington Meadows, plans for a new country park in the South of Cambridge include a picnic site, football areas, woodland walkways and cycle paths.
The park was revealed as part of the plans by Trumpington Meadows Land Company, which also includes 1,200 new homes, shops, leisure facilities and a primary school within the area.
The plans were welcomed by local neighbourhood groups in the area, who look forward to seeing the wasteland put to good use as well as the opportunity to enjoy new green spaces.
