New Year, New Starts, New Habits... and hopefully the end of a few old ones!

Millions of people in theĀ UK give up smoking in the New Year, yet only approximately 40,000 become permanent ex-smokers.

What Can You Do?

From hypnotherapy to cold turkey, there are many ways that you can try to give up.

The NHS has a range of free services that have been designed to help people stop smoking and stay smoke-free, including:

  • Individual and Group Stop Smoking Sessions
  • Face to Face Advice and Support from Trained NHS Advisors
  • Support at Home - the Together Programme has been Developed by Ex-Smokers and Provides Support at Critical Times by Email, Phone, Post and Text
  • Nicotine Replacement Products - Patches, Gum and More to Help Manage Cravings
  • NHS Smoking Helpline - Open 9am until 11pm Daily

So are you planning on quitting in the New Year? Have you got a plan of action? Are you an ex-smoker with advice to help others through the process?

The Best of Cambridge would love to hear about your experiences!
