Open Eco Homes - Revolutionising the Energy Efficiency of Cambridgeshire
4th May 2012

The annual Eco-Renovation event is almost here.

On the 12th – 13th and 26th – 27th May 2012, open day weekends will be taking place, giving residents the opportunity to explore twenty-five low energy venues within Cambridge and various surrounding villages.

Guided tours have been organised, giving people the opportunity to explore the world of energy efficient living. Not only will you be able to see first-hand what technologies are available to you, but it will give a better understanding of how much can actually be saved by implementing said technologies. Home owners will be at hand to answer any questions you may have, with regards to green living.

This year energy officers from the District Council will be presenting separate information sessions across South Cambridgeshire. These sessions are to give residents information regarding The Green Deal, which is to be launched later this year. The Green Deal is a government initiative, which will give residents the financial means to implement energy efficient technologies by paying the upfront costs. There has been no better time to consider a greener existence.

This exciting event is organised by Cambridge Carbon Footprint. Cambridge Carbon Footprint is a registered climate change charity. Why not book onto one of the tours, to find out how you can save yourself money and help the environment?
