Communication is key to businesses.

And whilst the way we communicate has changed over the years, the messages have often remained the same for centuries.

People don't want to hear facts and figures, and rarely remember them. But stories stick in the mind. Stories were used to pass on ideas and information for millennia and it's a skill local businesses could do well to learn.

Great stories are a great way to get you noticed and this month's Very Early Lunch Club meeting will see communications expert Liz Lewis coming along to give you some details on how to use your stories to gain customers and create loyal fans.

As well as this, every VELC meeting offers a delicious sit down breakfast and networking opportunities with other local businesses.

With discounts available for members of thebestof in both Cambridge and Newmarket, don't miss out on this fascinating and incredibly useful talk.

Taking place at the usual venue of Anglesey Abbey, starting at 7.30 on Friday 2nd November, prices are £19.50+ VAT for non members and £12.30+ VAT for members.

Visit the VELC's thebestof Cambridge page for more details.
