1st December 2010

Eager Christmas shoppers will be delighted to hear that this Christmas, Cambridge will have plenty of parking to meet the demand of incoming visitors to the city, and it helps to raise money for a good cause at the same time!

Motorists heading into Cambridge city centre will have the option to park all day at the weekend for just £6, thanks to the Rotary Club.

Extra parking will be provided on sites such as the Cambride University Lensfield Road car park and the Cambrisge Assesment Park Terrace car park. All proceeds raised from the parking will go towards helping local charities such as Winter Comfort, Women's Aid, Cam-mind and Camread.

The service begins this weekend and continues up until the 18th December, with the extra car parks open from 9:30am onwards on both Saturday and Sunday.

Further information and the full list of additional parking can be found at the Rotary Club Cambridge website.
