Businesses and schools across Cambridge have been showing their support for the England team this week ahead of their crucial World Cup fixture against Slovenia this afternoon.

Messages of support have been flooding into the England camp from across the UK, including one from Cambridge based company the British Antartic Survey.

Workers from the company, currently based in the freezing Antartic, took time out from their important research work to show their support for the England side (pictured).

The match, which begins at 3pm, is an essential fixture for the England team as defeat could mean elimination from the World Cup altogether.

Many businesses across Cambridge have chosen to finish early to allow workers to catch the important game or have made arrangements to show it on TV's within the workplace or on the radio.
