This year's Cambridge Science Festival looks set to the biggest yet, aiming to bring the excitement and insight of modern science to both young and old across the region with a range of free events.

Running from the 8th to the 21st March, the theme for this year's event is 'Diverse Science' and will boast a wide range of explosive demonstrations, hands-on experiments and engaging talks from some of science's leading figures.

Hosted by the University of Cambridge, the festival takes place at varying venues across the city, with many of the family-centred events spread over the weekends.

More details on the series of free events can be found at the Science Festival's website
