It's almost time for the annual Cambridge Fireworks Display, which is being held on Midsummer Common on Monday 5th November 2012.

The Thurston Family Fun Fair will be open between 6.00 and 11.00, and a bonfire will be lit immediately after the display. Entry is free but donations of £1.00 are encouraged to help Cambridge Council keep this event going year on year.

More than 25,000 people are expected to be attending on the night, so make sure you arrive early. With that many people coming o the same ace there is expected to be some traffic disturbances. There will also be a handful of road closures around the area on the night. Visit the councils official website for more information.

To alleviate some of these problems, Cambridge Council is running additional buses from five park and ride sites, with the last buses to the event at 6.45pm and the last back at 9.00pm.
