Thousands of people flocked to Cambridge last night for the start of one of the Summer's biggest events in the city.

 

The Cambridge Folk Festival began last night at Cherry Hinton Hall with performances set to continue over the weekend until Sunday.

 

Acts set to appear include Seasick Steve, Seth Lakeman and Kris Kristofferson at what has become an internationally renowned musical event described by Time Out as 'the daddy of UK folk festivals'.
