We celebrated our mum's 90th birthday in the Chetham Suite. Hayley had been excellent in responding to our needs for the booking. The staff were all as helpful and friendly as possible. Thank you for helping us make this a memorable celebration.

Lovely location and facilities I liked the location a lot, the pool and the steam room/sauna. The atmosphere of the village/pub/courtyard restaurant was absolutely amazing. I think I’d come back but maybe to a cheaper room as I don’t think it was worth the £170 paid There was one member of staff overall who stood out to me hospitality wise, other than that I found everyone else to be slightly disinterested when it came to service.

Lovely hotel for a weekend away. Beautiful natural surroundings, great spa facilities and comfortable room, and amazing food! Was particularly impressed with the breakfast.

Pleasant spa facilities. The spa facilities were the attraction for us. Since our last visit the view from hot pool is obscured by a housing estate.

Lovely and relaxing one night stay Loved the village feel with shops etc well Tended and beautiful grounds, staff were lovely nothing was too much trouble and having access to spa included in price meant with one night stay I got two swims in with my children who loved that! We had to walk at night to our accommodation which wasn’t a big deal but very dark could have had my lights on route but a very small criticism it’s a beautiful place!

Service was top notch, exec room had a good capacity for four of us but the fourth 'camp bed' was rickety and noisy with the occupant struggling to get comfortable and the creaking of the metal ended up waking everyone when they tossed and turned. The whole place is in need of a lick of paint and some refreshing... It was enjoyable and the food in the main restaurant excellent but the new housing estate isn't shown on any of the advertising so was a bit of a shock on arrival and also viewing the car park and housing estate from the outside thermal pool wasn't the most pleasant..

A nice hotel in Bolton The area was nice and a convient location, accessible to the highways. The food was good. The gym was great and the thermal suite with its many saunas was fantastic. The beds and pillows were not comfortable at all. The hotel has no elevators since it is older so getting heavy luggage to the room was a hassle.

Can't rate the team highly enough - exceptional service and we could not have been looked after better! Beautiful hotel with great facilities - and fantastic food. We had two large dogs with us and could not have been made more welcome - even at mealtimes! A truly dog friendly and fabulous place to stay.

- Hotel is quaint, rooms are big, with comfortable beds and large bathrooms
- One way system is a very good idea!
- Like the idea of on-site facilities, such as tea room/spa given location
- Staff couldn't do enough - one receptionist (Victoria?) lent us £1s for the spa lockers! Thats above and beyond!

- Zero information in room about hotel/facilities, let alone anything around the area
- Its been a long time since I stayed in a room with no fridge and (my fault!) I didn't check. I had refrigerated medication with me on the trip, which we kept in the car as it was so cold but may be worth calling this out on the website?
- Food wasn't great - gammon was anaemic and chips seemed old. Tomatoes were good though!
- Room clearly hadn't been vacuumed, or at least poorly
- Needing coins for lockers in spa is outdated
- Spa facilities were small (which obviously cannot be helped now) but we were told there were 50 mins slot. We were also told it was very quiet. When we went to the spa for our slot, it was very very busy. Too busy. There are only about eight loungers and at least triple that amount of people. People were there before and after we left (so no slots for them?) and people were using phone cameras - one gentleman actually complained to management. There were also dirty plasters floating around in the outside pool. It is actually a very nice facility but felt like a public pool. Appreciate you need to offer a service to all hotel guests but really feel this needs to be reconsidered. Shame, as could be very nice.

We needed a venue fairly close to our home for a small family only wedding at short notice as we are both in our 80s and approached The Last Drop Village wedding planner, Liz Blackmore, who could not have been more helpful. She soon figured which rooms would suit us best and showed us around. Venue was ideal. On the day the service was excellent followed by an Afternoon Tea for all, a service they are renowned for, we would certainly recommend this venue for small or large weddings as the pictures available show.

I can highly recommend this place. Beautiful location, high quality, pets friendly, just everything what you need to relax in one place. Lot of green space to walk out, golf course. Fantastic spa, amazing romantic stay on Easter Sunday.

Superb The lady who greeted us at reception was a credit to your establishment. Polite and efficient. She also fixed a check in error seamlessly.

This for us is a little bolt hole for a couple of days away from it all. Arrived early but the room wasn't ready so had a drink while we waited. For a change I booked an cottage and we weren't sure what to expect
Given from 80 and we were very happy with it. Plenty of space, clean and very well presented. Just had to remember the step down to enter the room it's self.
Unfortunately we had heavy feet above us but only for short periods of time.

The property is in a wonderful location and as you drive up you cannot help but notice the infinity Hydro pool. The welcome experience was really pleasant, the Front of House team were very engaging to my young kids, and gave us a map to go and enjoy a local walk in the sun!
The Pool and facilities are excellent, as are the staff, the GM, Gerry, certainly runs a best-in-class team here, because all the staff were exemplary.

In the evening we ate in the main restaurant and it was so busy, it didnt feel like a hotel restaurant at all, the service, again, top class and the food was delicious. We had a nightcap in the Drop Inn, a cool bar with Pool and Footy and they serve Pizzas too, although I was stuffed.

Would highly recommend you come and try this property out. Old school property with old school Hospitality at its finest.

Very good As a regular I liked room and breakfast The views being blocked by new builds ,especially when in thermo spa, which was one of the high lights for this reason I doubt I will return.

Lovely hotel , the staff was welcoming and our room was lovely only problem was the pillows need replacing there nothing to them , The spa is lovely but the view from the infinity pool lets it down you have car park and house in front off you so everyone can see you and you can watch the lady in the garden hanging out there washing … The food in the restaurant was really nice and they had a good gluten free option

Our stay here was great! I did the winter offer which was amazing value for money, including a 2 course meal, breakfast and use of the pool and spa facilities. Our room had a very dissapointing view of walls of the building but I’m sure that 90% of the rooms have a lovely view and we just got the short straw. Reception and bar area was lovely to just chill and take in the atmosphere. Lovely community vibe with a few shops, salon and pub onsite. We were very grateful for the walk guide as we got to explore the beautiful countryside and nearby reservoir using this. Dinner and breakfast were lovely, buffet style breakfast was great to start the day and our dinner was incredible - we left with very full bellies. Pool and thermal suite was very nice, hot tub overlooks car park rather than the countryside but the outside/ inside hot tub was still great. Lots of other thermal rooms, e.g. saunas, steam room ect, which felt luxurious. Spa was kept clean and tidies, maintenance was needed on the hot tub railings but it seemed prompt action was taken to remove the railing. The other pool was a great size and seperate family and lane swimming areas were set up. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back if we see a great bargain.

Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Good food choice for dinner. Had a great stay. Stayed for 2 nights as I was attending a wedding in the area. Hotel is in a good location and is also a spa. Would definitely recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised, good location lovely and cozy atmosphere, the room was clean and tidy the spa was very good, we also had some food and drinks at the restaurant (was lovely) and the staff was absolutely the best, perfect for a relaxing weekend 🧖‍♀️ Definitely Worth it, I will come back!
A plus is that is also dog friendly, on that note I would really like to give a big thank you for all the staff and all the people who where there ready to make sure to keep my dog safe when he decided to open the door of the room himself and run out while we where at the Spa 💗 you’re all appreciated!

Enjoyable & relaxing. Excellent friendly, accommodating and professional staff. Evening meals tasty and fabulous choice of breakfast. Relaxing spa with excellent Swedish massage by Dawn.
Bit of attention to finer details in room with towel provision and birthday plate but these were sorted quickly on request. Overall a great stay.

Beautiful family room. Well equipped for grandchildren. Perhaps could have done with a few kiddy snacks to tide them over before breakfast. The Penny Farthing Suite was great for children and had a drop out zone. Perhaps not ideal for wheelchair users though. Fantastic staff and food.
