Beautiful location and surroundings. Was perfect for my dogs. Super friendly staff and amazing food. They’ve provided a special fridge for my dogs raw food. Everything was perfect for my weekend. Will go back for sure

We had a spa package and it included afternoon tea.
When we arrived the staff were friendly and help and were so right through our visit. We got our towel and robe and then found out that they no longer do the slippers, if we had known this we would have brought appropriate foot wear.
Never the less we stowed our gear and headed for our afternoon tea. Again staff were friendly and helpful, when the food arrived I was not overly impressed but thought I'd reserve my judgement. The sandwiches and wrap had reasonable amount of filling apart from the Tuna one which looked like it had just been waved at the tuna from afar but was not close enough to get any on it... The macaroons were tiny and I always think pointless and tasteless. The tiny shot glass with what I thought was chocolate gateaux, was just a tinny bit of sponge with way to much cream, and the scones were like biscuits, in fact we sent them back to receive new ones that although were better were still chewy.
All in all my first impression was right, I was totally underwhelmed with the food, which is a shame as you should really be able to mess up an afternoon tea.
I also think that some coffee training needs to be given as I had a cappuccino with a mm of froth not foam, to be a cappuccino you should have more foam milk than steamed milk.
We went back after this to a really nice use of the spa before going to for our massage. This was spot on and just what was needed. Thank you Hollie. We went back in the spa after and had another hour in the thermal pool just relaxing.
All in all we had a great time, disappointed with the afternoon tea but it didn't spoil our first day chilling together in 9 months.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Situated in a beautiful spot. Lovely old building with lots of separate annexes. Garden beautiful and so well kept. Little row of shops which sold eclectic items. This is also a beautiful wedding venue with shops as well selling bridal goods.

Great service from staff throughout the hotel and Spa. Always done with a smile and a welcoming manner whichever part of the hotel that you were in. Well done in this day and age (August 2021) when so may organisations seem to struggle with what the concept of customer service means.

Loved my spa day and overnight stay. Staff were friendly and so happy to help. Rooms were lovely and clean. We ate in the restaurant where the food and breakfast was good

We had a lovely stay for our anniversary, we booked a meal, bed and breakfast package, highly recommended. Will visit again and we look forward to exploring more of the area on our next visit.

Excellent location in a lovely setting. Very welcoming friendly hotel. Though an extremely busy place the rooms were quiet. Pets and families welcome in the bar area. Pouring with rain during the whole stay but the grounds and buildings still looked lovely. Maps of walks nearby available at the hotel and would love to explore further on future visits.

The room was lovely and when I asked for a bath I was provided with one could have done with being bigger to be honest and the water a lot warmer but the room was great and very clean and was big enough for me and my belongings
I stayed the first night on my own and then the second night my friend joined me but when we returned that night we noticed that the bedding had not been changed even though the room had been cleaned you would think with everything going on that the bedding would be cleaned through out also the water could have done with being hotter I am not picking because I loved your hotel but just giving the feedback also the parking situation because you had some kind of filming going on I think we should have been made aware of this checking in or before staying I would stay here again if the bedding would be cleaned and also the front desk provided more information as to what was going on at the hotel

I was there last weekend to attend a wedding reception party. It is my first time visiting a beautiful hotel. Looking outside from the car park, the building looks lovely and it is stunning. Went inside the building and the staff (Jean) from the reception was so helpful and explained everything that this hotel has facilities because myself and my other half had never been to this hotel before. The room we stayed was beautiful and I loved the room size and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom looks gorgeous and massive. I feel taking shower was good but needed more water as I feel water pressure coming from the showerhead is a bit weak but still run but wasn't enough to enjoy the shower. I love how the hotel did include the spa, the spa staff was friendly and explained what facilities they have in the spa area. I did enjoy the spa such as swimming pools and went into the stream room such as the sauna.
The next day before we went home, the breakfast was lovely and we had to pick what we can eat from the breakfast area.
My self and other half will definitely come back for the visit and the stay.
