A lovely short break with spa use Since I last stayed there, there has been quite a lot of upgrade to the rooms and hotel on the whole. The Spa area is still good, especially the thermal suite. I felt very safe as a solo traveller. The bar area was very noisy on the Thursday night with young children running around, even up to 11pm. I think there should be a cut off point for children like many hotels/bars eg 9pm? It was half term but adults also need time to relax. In the pool too, many hotels don’t allow children after a certain time eg. 7pm. Maybe this could be kept in mind?

What another brilliant stay here. Children loved the pool and the room was huge and great for 4 of us.
The breakfast and food are gorgeous and we can’t wait to come back again .
Gerry the manager and his staff are excellent

A last minute half term break with our daughter and little dog. Really pleased with our little break, great location with lovely walks, large clean room, lovely spa area. Very friendly staff, breakfast was lovely and so was our evening meals. Lovely selection of gins, especially the Turkish delight one. We had a really nice, relaxing break.

Everything and all area is very clean and fresh which is very good and we enjoyed it.
Mainly we went to relax and celebrate my daughter's birthday which all went well.
Swimming pool is very nicely maintained and surrounding facilities are excellent.

Fantastic Hotel Beautiful location and lovely hotel. only thing whilst the food was lovely it was very over priced for what you got which was basically pub food other than that it’s perfect and allows dogs

We booked our wedding at the last drop village just over a year ago which meant that we had a lot of changes from a small wedding of 15 to a large wedding of 100. We worked with Liz as our wedding planner and from start to finish she was amazing. She talked us through all our options and pointed us in the direction of a great room dresser who did all of the table plans, table dressing and stationary too.

On the day of the wedding we had no worries at all and it all ran like clockwork.

Since the wedding I have had so much incredible feedback about the food, it was delicious from the canapés and wedding breakfast through to the pie and peas in the evening.

We would like to personally thank Liz and her team for their hard work and support over the lead up to the wedding and on the day. We are so very grateful and the day was absolutely perfect for us, including the honeymoon suite which was massive and filled with rose petals and other beautiful touches.

Once again thank you so much to Liz and her team, we would encourage everybody to take a look at this venue for a wedding 😊

Nice relaxing stay. Accomodating of my son's special needs. And had notice up explaining not all disabilities are visual. As in my son's case. Paula who did my son's massage was great. Recommend. 😀😀

We arrived early on a busy Sunday morning after a very early flight arrival into Manchester. We had a wedding a few miles away at 1pm and needed to freshen up and change. The reception staff were very helpful in liaising with housekeeping to see if they could prepare our room earlier than the 2pm check-in. Even though the hotel were at full capacity housekeeping were able to have a room ready for us at 11:30 which was very much appreciated. All staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay.
Some areas of the hotel are looking a little tired and in need of updating, the restaurant and en suite bathroom in particular, but it was generally clean.

Had a lovely stay. Room clean and comfortable. The online check in didn't make a difference as we still had to queue, but pleased we booked time slots for meals online as availability on the day was poor.
The pool was very cold and needs to be warmer to enjoy it properly. Thete was limited information in the rooms about using the pool; this would have been helpful re. Use of towels, lockers etc.
Carparking signs were poor-took awhile to work out where to go on arrival-but this was only a minor issue.
I enjoyed the stay and would go back.

Good Very nice staff, great big clean room and room service. Nice little extras. The dining room is a bit tired and I would have appreciated linen tablecloths and napkins for afternoon tea. I booked afternoon tea online but the restaurant had no sign of my booking so I felt like a bit of an inconvenience. The spa area is also looking tired and the view of a construction site not the most relaxing. Whole spa area felt a bit grubby including the changing rooms. Breakfast was fine but not lavish and again, no tablecloths.

Excellent hotel, but the price of a room for a midweek stay was high. The food and drink were reasonable, though.

We stayed on a Groupon deal at this hotel and were not disappointed! The staff so friendly and helpful and Gerrie the General Manager so attentive and helpful with everyone. The room was spotless, chalet style with balcony and had everything you need. Tea/coffee making facilities, ironing board/iron, safe it was so relaxing and pleasant we actually overslept for Breakfast!! The food was hot and tasty and the Cumberland sausage at breakfast was amazing! The grounds are beautiful and give you somewhere to walk and explore. We loved it so much we are going back again in a month, just to get away from all the stress as this is an ideal place to do that! Highly recommend!

Mixed feelings... Nicola at the spa was amazing; she went out of her way to help to resolve the issue with the bathrobes. Lovely shower and breakfast was good. They asked us to check in on-line but it made no difference and didn't save time as you still had to queue to complete a form, get your room key and book breakfast. They ask you to book a breakfast slot online but then there's no option to book breakfast on the website! After queuing for about 30 minutes to 'check in' (after checking in online!) we didnt have a choice but to take an early slot for breakfast as the later slots were fully booked. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was access to the spa and especially the much needed hydro therapy. Great was our disappointment to be told the hydro therapy pool was out of order! So instead of having the luxury to sleep in a bit, I had to get up at 6am just to get some value for the money spent. On the website they say you must wear the bathrobe in your room when going to the spa, but there were no bathrobes in our room. When I asked at reception they told us robes are only provided when you book a spa treatment. The website doesn't make that clear. The staff at reception wasn't helpful at all when I brought this up. There was an unpleasant sewer odour in the bathroom at times. We had to leave the windows open.

Stayed 5 nights for our daughters wedding at wellbeing farm, room was a bit small but bed comfortable and shower excellent
We are in bar for breakfast just having breakfast buns which were delicious and in restaurant once food and service excellent
Went to pool and hydro pool once really good need to go early
Only issue we had was on the Sunday when we went to watch the football the reception told us they don’t do food in the pub so we missed some of the game and ate in courtyard bar when we got to the pub they were serving food

Just feels a little tired for what you pay for. Reception and entrance to hotel has the wow factor, rooms could do with some TLC. Spa and swimming pool is great and a major plus point for the hotel.

Had our wedding here 2nd Oct 2021 the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble wedding planner Liz even went off site to buy a toothbrush for one of our guests. Not sure of the mans name who looked after me and my best man but he ensured that the whole day ran like clockwork helped us getting ready button holes etc ensured all guests were seated on time, he was very professional and certainly knows his job! Everything about the day ran smoothly and I am so glad we chose this venue…fantastic staff first class service I would highly recommend this hotel….thanks for a truly memorable day! My points First, the price was affordable. Second, the hygiene is very good. And the room was clean. Third, easy to park my car. Forth, the lounge was nice and spacious. Fifth, the swimming pool and the jacuzzi were nice and the view was great First, I was surprised that the booking didn't include breakfast! I've been to many B&B and all of them included breakfast at least! You could have added a bit more to the price and included breakfast. Second, the bed was not comfortable in the sense of the noise it made each time I moved! Third, two or three times I had to wait at the reception office because no one was there.
