On arrival to hotel wasn't given free welcome glass of wine as expected.
Had Espa Spa Package which was very nice although felt slightly rushed.
Checked into Hotel room was smelt musty , and very disappointed to notice black mould on walls.
And was very cold .
Straight away asked to be moved into 2nd room which was slightly better but room very old and dated .
Basic facilities for a 4 star room
Carpet dirty
Uncomfortable beds . Hard pillows and not the best nights sleep ever , which was a shame .
Overall experience I expected better !

Came back to this hotel after a previous good visit and wasn’t disappointed. Cleanliness and standard of the hotel is always great - and the facilities are amazing. Lovely spa area with gorgeous heated infinity pool and steam/sauna rooms.

Bar and restaurant areas are lovely too and always clean and well decorated.

Only thing that could be improved is the comfort of the beds but that’s down to personal preference. Last Drop Inn was closed too which was a shame.

Thanks for an amazing visit!

Had our wedding day here 29.12.2021. It was absolutely amazing! We had the most perfect day and had no worries as the staff were just incredible. Elizabeth the wedding organiser couldn’t do enough for us and kept me calm all the way leading up to it. Can not thank the whole venue enough. So many compliments about the venue and the food.
Thank you

Excellent service. Food was great and the room was very comfortable. A last minute one-night spa-break which was well worth the money and totally refreshing. Staff are very helpful. Grounds and location is beautiful with excellent walks around.

The Last Drop Village was an absolutely perfect venue for our wedding. We couldn’t have wished for anything more for our day. An extra thank you to Liz and her excellent team who kept us both calm and excited as we got married in the middle of a lot of government announcements. From booking the venue two years ago to the breakfast the day after our wedding, nothing was too much trouble including coming to visit both myself and husband the morning of our wedding to make sure we had eaten breakfast and providing tea and coffee to the conference room where myself and bridesmaids were having hair and makeup.

Because we got married during a cold December, Liz was able to provide us two spaces for our wedding so that guests could stay warm inside while the rooms were changed over. When we arrived at the venue the night before, Liz met us to collect the cake and favours and showed us the room for our reception to check that everything was okay. The hotel even and ensured that we had space the morning after the wedding to have breakfast with our guests who had stayed over.

Nasser was our master of ceremonies during the day and he was absolutely brilliant. He kept the day running so smoothly and made sure we could relax and enjoy our day while he got everyone into the right place at the right time, including myself and my husband. All of these little details made our day even better than we could have imagined. All of the staff made sure we really got to enjoy our day and they really couldn’t do enough for us and our guests. We had the most perfect day and can’t thank all the staff at the Last Drop enough.

We stayed New Year’s Day night which was so lovely after a busy Christmas.
We had the 3 course meal deal which was so nice we enjoyed every course, the pool and spa was also amazing and so relaxing.
The breakfast the next day was equally as good as the evening meal.

We cannot wait to return for a short break

Last minute booking for New Year Gala Evening Meal. I was informed booking in at 2pm book out 12 o’clock mid day and full use of all the spar facilities.
First impression shame the hotel is in the middle of a housing estate. Walking to the entrance we had to walk past the weirdest Spa pool l have ever came across in my life people in the pool leaning over a wall overlooking the car park and a housing estate ! Not my idea of a relaxing situation.
We paid over £400 for one nights stay. On booking into the hotel we were just give the room number and the key to our room, there was no welcoming or enjoy your stay and the staff seemed very cold. We also had to ask for information regarding the Black Tie evening meal we had booked. We were told to meet in reception around 7 o’clock for champagne and canapés and we would be escorted to the dinning area as the evening meal was not starting until 7:30.
Arriving at the reception area there was no one there to meet and greet us and no champagne or canapés, instead we were informed we had to go outside and walk around the back of the hotel across the rear car park to the Pennine Suite ( my wife had paid for her hair and make up to be done and she was wearing an off the shoulder evening gown and heels and no coat
all l can say is it was a good job it was not raining, snowing or blowing a gale ) The suite we were looking for we could not find as it is not very well sign posted and we had to ask a number of people for directions but no one knew where it was. We finally found the Suite and the evening meal was not served until 8:30, there was a resident lady singer who only sang 1950’s songs of people who were long dead it felt more like a morgue than a New Years Eve. The second spot she did was a little bit more lively. Then at 1 o’clock in the morning we had to make the return trip back outside across the rear car park and back to our hotel room. On entering the hotel we asked where the dinning room was for breakfast, we were informed that breakfast was served between 8am and 10:30 am as rooms had to be vacated by 11am and not 12 o’clock mid day as we had been told when booking. After breakfast next morning we had had enough and booked out, some people checked out and put cases in their car’s and then tried to use the spa but they were informed that as they had checked out they could not use the spa or any facilities.
The only good thing l can say about the hotel is the executive room we booked was clean and comfortable.

Received a gift of hotel stay for 1 night from my parents and my girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay thoroughly. We paid for a spa treatment, tea on arrival and we enjoyed all of it. I would highly recommend it.

My partner and I stayed for 1 night on NYE, to attend the new years gala and have a relaxing spa break before entering 2022. Very average stay for the £400+ charge. Recpetion staff were rude and unhelpful. The food at the gala was bland and very average. Although our treatments in the spa were some of the best we've ever had and the staff were lovely, the spa was absolutely rammed making us want to leave after 30 minutes of being in there. Won't be returning.

Excellent New year eve event
Fabulous food, great service. Wonderful singer & DJ. Our first New year eve out in a while. Was fabulous. Vegetarian option was very good & the room was full but not overcrowded. Bag piper was a wonderful addition to start the evening off. Thank you

Lovely quaint hotelo located in beautiful grounds surrounded by nice areas you can walk around. Food is excellent. Spa facilities are the best with full size swimming pool, thermal pool and many sauna and steam choices. The rooms are in keeping with the hotel character, beds are comfy and the hotel is very clean. Staff are all happy, friendly and helpful. My only negative would be that it should be priced lower. I've always thought the hotel and bar are priced too high though our stays have always been good. If the cost was lower we would most likely stay more frequently and the hotel would be fuller. That is my only negative.

We went here as this had been recommended by a friend.

On arrival checking was mental people were queuing out of the door and check in was very slow. We booked a cottage above the shops but realised after our night this wasn’t the room we got.

The room looked like it had been update but it was a shame there was still so old bits still in the room which let it down.

We decided to use the spa due to eating later, this was one of the reasons we booked the hotel. The spa was such a let down, the infinity pool looked onto a building site, theres a selection of saunas and steam rooms there was only a few working.

The restaurant is quite big, we had the offer of 2 courses in the packaged we booked. The food was nice and well presented but small portions. We sat in the bar after and had drinks it’s quiet expensive.

Breakfast was a shambles due to Covid you couldn’t help yourself to toast etc, by time you got your toast your cooked breakfast was flat cold. The waiter serving on the station couldn’t cope with the large amount of people.

There are a few shops on site and a tea shop but this was closed. There was another pub on-site but after dinner it was shut.

Not the hotel it used to be by a long, long way. It took three room moves before they got it right for us and the room we finally went to was not up to The Last Drop standards expected. Very disappointing.

Relaxing but expensive stay We love the spa, although it was really busy during the day. Rooms are clean and lovely bathroom. Easy to just stay there and relax and not have to leave for a couple of days. Breakfast was lovely, hot breakfast and continental. Bar and restaurant are very overpriced. £7.50 for a tiny slice of cheesecake. Food is nice but nothing overly special for the price. Room walls are very thin, could hear everything from next door.

We stayed overnight on 27th August this year... Very comfortable bed, lovely pillows, only let down by yellow marks on the neck of the white robe supplied. I didn't complain because I never wear them.
The evening meal was delicious, served by extremely busy waiting staff. The dining room was very busy( toddlers running around, but, what can you do?)
I especially want to give a mention to our lovely waitress, Isabel. She was so busy, but was very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Last Drop village, look after her, she's a gem.We would recommend this hotel and spa. Also ,we went in the pool which was very nice along with the spa area. Thanks.

Lovely cottage style room, comfy bed, excellent breakfast and friendly professional staff, a perfect chance to relax in the pool and spa. These are all the positives.
The negatives are, the thermal spa zones are in need of attention with only 3 of the 5 in working order.
The beautiful countryside views that once existed and enhanced the infinity pool experience have become a massive building site with constant noise invading what should have been a tranquil and calming experience.
Such a shame, otherwise Perfect, thank you.

Visited with the besties for Festive Afternoon Tea, gorgeous hotel just a shame it feels like it's in the middle of a posh housing estate.
The food and service were excellent it wasn't super busy which during the Covid cases increase made us feel easier.

Perfect for us and managed expertly by Gerry. Dog friendly room with easy access to walk them in the countryside surroundings. The pool and gym were a welcome bonus.

Last drop was well presented but disappointed with the food, I ordered a chicken dish and it arrived cold. After a replacement the food was quite good, but the portions were meager, value for money 3/10..
