Noisy at night where our room was situated, I think a fire door kept opening and closing early hours of the morning and it was banging loud.

A bit disappointing having stayed there before. Tired look and not good value.Used to be the best.

Nice short stay,nice food if you don’t mind the wait

Long wait for meal in the restaurant and the same at breakfast, asked for a second pot of tea at breakfast as first one was only warm, it didn’t arrive we got fed up waiting and left

The property is dated in places and rooms are tired and need updating. Also need a deep clean as rather dusty. Expedia VIP benefit is not offered by the hotel despite being advertised on website

After reviewing others view of this place we are bit anxious to go but we decided to go and check it for ourselves. We arrived late Friday night and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, she quickly got us checked in and explained in detail what is what. We went to our room to clean and fresh and comfortable bed. The next morning we went for our breakfast which to our surprise was brilliant. The staffs were excellent and fast. The afternoon tea was equally brilliant with wonderful staff and our 2 course dinner was brilliant shame we couldn't finish it as the portions was big. Overall we had a brilliant day worth the money. We would like to say thank you to all the staff who were amazing and very helpful.

Unfortunately the place has gone seriously downhill since my last visit.
The spa was overcrowded and not relaxing. Each room in the spa was cold and the only way to warm up was by going into the overcrowded infinity pool.
The room itself was nice but was dated. I did not get a good sleep due to the hardness of the bed but this is personal preference. However another reason for my lack of sleep was people shouting in the corridor.
We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal which was lovely. Staff were helpful of our dietary requirements and everything was labelled well.
Overall it was an ok stay but very overpriced for what the product actually is.

Booked afternoon tea here, had been a few times years ago to the restaurant which I remembered as lovely . A bit disappointed with the area where afternoon tea was held as it looked very tired with no atmosphere. Coffee and tea came 1st ..with no choices, in very basic white tableware. Soup then came in the same white basic teacup. The soup was delicious though but needed to be served in a much nicer cup. The teapots/coffee pots, cups, saucers and soup cups need to be upgraped to lovely patterned /flowered pottery to give it a special afternoon tea experience. The 3 tier afternoon tea plates were attractive and felt more like the real deal but they took a long time to be served to us. The food was actually lovely when it finally arrived. The scones were so small but none the less were very tasty. The service was slow but the staff were very pleasant, attentive and proffesional. The upgrade of prosecco was not offered as an add on but we asked if we could have some and eventually a glass was brought from the bar. We had a lovely afternoon but the whole experience needs upgrading and was not good value. It could have been so much better, as the food and staff were good let down by the room ,atmosphere and pottery.

Overnight business trip. Very cosy hotel, good parking facilities, breakfast was good. Didn’t have time to make use of the pool facilities. Hotel is located beside private housing which seems to be a good area. Would definitely stay again

Comfortable rooms, fun spa
The spa was fun, definitely interesting to try out. Continental breakfast was great. Room was comfortable and clean. Quiet neighbourhood allowed for a good night's sleep. Overall a very comfortable stay
The hot breakfast option took a ridiculous amount of time to arrived. Really shocked us. Close to 45 minutes. Although they did apologize profusely
