Loved this stay, very relaxing. Great pool and thermal suite. Cute village with cute shops. The breakfast was lovely although it would be better if the hot food was ordered before getting the cold breakfast. Our toast was cold one the hot breakfast arrived. Order hot breakfast before getting cold breakfast.

Left dogs in room with sign on door asking no-one to enter. Someone went in regardless. Fortunately our dogs are friendly although nervous. We were very annoyed. It was the official sign that the hotel provided.

Had a great stay recently at the Last Drop Hotel & Spa. Very nice spa facilities with a range of different steam rooms / saunas. Choice of food / drink also good and not too expensive considering it’s a hotel. The location is also very scenic with plenty of nice views.

Pros: helpful staff, the food in the restaurant was really pleasant, nice but not extensive breakfast options, good lounge spaces, comfy bed in a room that was a decent size for a weekend stay. The gym was good.

Cons: The relatively simple check in process seemed to take an absolute age, annoying when there’s a bit of a queue. On check out, after queuing, we were told ‘oh, you could just leave the key on the desk’ which would’ve been fine had there been any indication that you could do this. Lots of the ‘public’ places seem like they haven’t been updated since it was first (re)built, such as the decor in the restaurant which is a bit dark and dingy. The display cases that make it look like a rebuilt Victorian street and I found them a bit pointless to be honest. They just seemed to have a load of dusty bric a brac in. The spa felt a bit like I was in a leisure centre and it’s just a bit weird lying in an infinity pool overlooking a housing estate where you could see people in their kitchens. The ‘thermal journey’ is more a collection of a couple of saunas and a cold shower.

I appreciate it’s very popular, particularly for weddings, and very successful but we left with a sense that this was becoming more through a lack of competition than anything new it’s doing as a spa hotel.

Rooms could do with modernising, but clean, pillows are past their best, so took my own next time I stayed. Food is limited and expensive but was good quality. Did not use spa facilities or the bar.

Initially I was in a which was close to the spa facilities and there some sort of loud machine noise coming from ac unit or air source heat pump. I asked to change rooms and I was upgraded for free. Then I had a noisy experience from some drunken hotel guests which was eventually resolved by the hotel.

My wife and I last went to the LDV in September 1977, for our honeymoon. Our most recent trip was the first time we had returned since then. Albeit the place had changed so much the staff, room and food in their restaurant were all excellent. I’m so pleased we went back. Thank you to all at the LDV

Nice stay, good value. Nice surroundings, other than the new estate. Breakfast great. The changing rooms are horrendous and the spa is unhygienic. Masseuse far too loud during massage.

Great Location but looks a bit tired The staff on Saturday evening were fantastic, happy, Service brilliant. Sunday morning breakfast time the staff cheery and happy.
Nothing was too much for reception.
On Saturday morning the breakfast staff were miserable (the one that showed us to our table and ticked us off the list). The service was slow.

We stayed at Last Drop Village for 1 night for a 21st birthday, on arrival we wandered into the village and had some drinks and bar snacks in the pub on site, there is a pool table and darts board, the garlic bread we had was very nice. When we went to check in, the lady on the desk was very helpful but when we got our room (inside the hotel, not the cottages) we were disappointed. The rooms are very outdated and there was an old musky smell, the beds were comfy and clean but 1 of the bedside lights was broken. In the bathroom there was only 1 bath towel between 2 of us and all the towels and robes smelt horrible, like food. The bathroom was clean except the bath was full of mild and mildew and dirty but the taps didn’t even turn on so we had to have a shower. Going into the spa, it was very small with about 2-3 rooms and 2 saunas, 1 of the steam rooms smelt of fish and one like sweaty feet so everyone avoided it so the aroma steam room and saunas were all full so everyone was pouncing when people came out of one. The thermal pool itself was nice and warm, we spent most of our 50mins in there which wasn’t what we went to do ideally. We did go in the main pool but most people just left after the thermal journey.
In the evening, we ate in the courtyard bar which was £9 for 5 chicken wings which were tasteless along with the rest of the food. It seemed that the bar area was dog friendly so we had a dog going round our legs whilst we ate and then the owner sat it on her knee and it was eating from her plate, enough to put us off and have dessert and drinks in the room. During the night it was non-stop shouting and running from other guests up until 5:30am.
In the morning the breakfast was lovely, which we were glad about, a nice selection for continental and then a cooked breakfast which was nicer than other spa hotels we have been to. The staff were really nice and we can’t discredit them at all. But I guess for over £100 per person (and the rest) it just wasn’t worth it for a ‘luxury’ spa night and the rooms being standard rooms.

I remember visiting the Last Drop Village when I was little and I was enchanted by it. For my friend's 40th birthday I was struggling to find a place that could accommodate a room for three and also treatments for three people. (All other spas were only willing to book in multiples of 2). We got an incredible deal on the room, bed, breakfast and use of the spa.

The village is still as sweet as I remember. The hotel and spa were so wonderful when I needed to change the date - it was no trouble at all. We checked in and out online which really suited us.

The meal in the Courtyard was absolutely stunning. We had the braised rib/beef cheek and the salmon. The sticky toffee pudding was recommended and didn't disappoint and neither did the cheese board.

The other highlight was the Thermal Suite and Outdoor Hydrotherapy Pool. I could have stayed there for hours! The three of us had different treatments and all were wonderful and bespoke to us. I had the "Be Grounded" from Shaista which was so good I just wanted to be left to fall asleep straight after it. I didn't want it to end.

The room was spacious - with a double and a single bed right opposite the spa entrance.

We had looked forward to this weekend for such a long time and it really didn't disappoint. Thank you so much Last Drop. A lovely memory for us three friends.

Clean and tidy room with a really nice sized bathrooms.
Comfortable bed. Attention to detail is a little bit lacking, loose door handle, iron burn mark on the carpet.
