We stayed at Last Drop Village for 1 night for a 21st birthday, on arrival we wandered into the village and had some drinks and bar snacks in the pub on site, there is a pool table and darts board, the garlic bread we had was very nice. When we went to check in, the lady on the desk was very helpful but when we got our room (inside the hotel, not the cottages) we were disappointed. The rooms are very outdated and there was an old musky smell, the beds were comfy and clean but 1 of the bedside lights was broken. In the bathroom there was only 1 bath towel between 2 of us and all the towels and robes smelt horrible, like food. The bathroom was clean except the bath was full of mild and mildew and dirty but the taps didn’t even turn on so we had to have a shower. Going into the spa, it was very small with about 2-3 rooms and 2 saunas, 1 of the steam rooms smelt of fish and one like sweaty feet so everyone avoided it so the aroma steam room and saunas were all full so everyone was pouncing when people came out of one. The thermal pool itself was nice and warm, we spent most of our 50mins in there which wasn’t what we went to do ideally. We did go in the main pool but most people just left after the thermal journey.
In the evening, we ate in the courtyard bar which was £9 for 5 chicken wings which were tasteless along with the rest of the food. It seemed that the bar area was dog friendly so we had a dog going round our legs whilst we ate and then the owner sat it on her knee and it was eating from her plate, enough to put us off and have dessert and drinks in the room. During the night it was non-stop shouting and running from other guests up until 5:30am.
In the morning the breakfast was lovely, which we were glad about, a nice selection for continental and then a cooked breakfast which was nicer than other spa hotels we have been to. The staff were really nice and we can’t discredit them at all. But I guess for over £100 per person (and the rest) it just wasn’t worth it for a ‘luxury’ spa night and the rooms being standard rooms.

I remember visiting the Last Drop Village when I was little and I was enchanted by it. For my friend's 40th birthday I was struggling to find a place that could accommodate a room for three and also treatments for three people. (All other spas were only willing to book in multiples of 2). We got an incredible deal on the room, bed, breakfast and use of the spa.

The village is still as sweet as I remember. The hotel and spa were so wonderful when I needed to change the date - it was no trouble at all. We checked in and out online which really suited us.

The meal in the Courtyard was absolutely stunning. We had the braised rib/beef cheek and the salmon. The sticky toffee pudding was recommended and didn't disappoint and neither did the cheese board.

The other highlight was the Thermal Suite and Outdoor Hydrotherapy Pool. I could have stayed there for hours! The three of us had different treatments and all were wonderful and bespoke to us. I had the "Be Grounded" from Shaista which was so good I just wanted to be left to fall asleep straight after it. I didn't want it to end.

The room was spacious - with a double and a single bed right opposite the spa entrance.

We had looked forward to this weekend for such a long time and it really didn't disappoint. Thank you so much Last Drop. A lovely memory for us three friends.

Clean and tidy room with a really nice sized bathrooms.
Comfortable bed. Attention to detail is a little bit lacking, loose door handle, iron burn mark on the carpet.

Had a great stay overall. I love the fact it's dog friendly but it probably would be a nice touch to have maybe some dog blankets or towels. Food in the restaurant was lovely. Spa was great, not busy if you go in the morning. The only problem we had was that we had a major leak late in the evening from the room upstairs. It was clear this wasn't the first time. the ceiling was soft and it was bulging. They sent the waiter, who wasn't going to fix it clearly but was going to tell the customers upstairs to not shower (which made me giggle). Just a shame.

Obviously the Spa/Pool generates a lot of income for this hotel, but also makes it difficult to find a parking space at peek times. Bar food menu is quickly exhausted if staying for more than a couple of nights and the queue to order food/drink can become quite long, but staff were friendly and room was clean and tidy. Tables used for breakfast service were sticky to the touch which is very unpleasant and you get a feeling that this once very impressive facility is getting a bit long to the tooth in places and in need of some TLC. Happy to stay again if required but wouldn't go out of my way if other options were closer.

The hotel was really nice, very friendly staff. Lovely and clean warm rooms. The only negative feedback I could give, that has a gold member we were given vouchers for a free glass of wine per person. Which was a very nice gesture, however if you going to do a nice gesture, please do it right. We were given two glasses of house red wine, god knows how long ago it had been open, it was awful. I would have rather not been given the voucher for the wine. Most house wines are palatable, but this certainly wasn’t.

Mid week spa break Quiet. warm & comfortable room with a good view & room service available. Help with suitcase. - Vegan hot meal was delicious. Excellent swimming pool & good thermal suite. - Liked steam room & hot rock sauna in particular. Spa treatments received were lovely - Therapist Megan was great - Knowledgeable & down to earth. Value for money experience. Request for a room with a bathtub on booking - Not available on arrival -Walk in shower with large rainfall shower head a good second place. Disappointed that had to walk from outside balcony room to spa facilities - Treatments booked alongside room. Robe not provided beforehand.. Some aspects of the thermal suite need attention regarding cleanliness & repair. Not the best of view from the outdoor hydrotherapy pool - Overlooks a new housing estate. Sandwich & side order meal delivered to the room wasn't as ordered & arrived without cutlery & condiments.

It was a lovely place and the only issue was the temperature in the room. It was very warm and the radiators were on despite it being mild outside. This affected my sleep considerably and I would always rather have the radiators off with me then having the choice of putting them on

Thermal Suite is amazing. Booked a treatment which was worth every penny Nothing I didn't like apart from not having kippers or smoked haddock on breakfast menu

Difficult parking “jobs worth” attitude to pool use The location and pool facilities The lack of attention and persinalisation. Satyed 3 nights the first if which was my birthday Eve. I know the staff were made aware and again on actual birthday a family member reminded staff. No acknowledgment. I needed to ask for a second set of towels twice and the third day the teas / coffees and toiletries were not replenished. Poor as we stayed in the executive cottage and booked in May ie 5 months ago. Prior to arriving there were messages on my app asking me to book pool. But when I replied on the app I was directed to email the spa directly. I did this and was asked to call ? I was in USA. Just disorganized and irritatingly unnecessary communication before arrival. All in all I wished I’d stayed elsewhere. There were cars constantly parked on the 5 disabled bays without blue badge and after mentioning this it still isn’t monitored in anyway. The hotel entrance is a steep walk from the bottom car park. Staff on reception, in particular Deputy Manageress were inattentive unapologetic and in need of customer services training. This is my 29th hotel booking in past 18 months and my worst experience I have had. I do not usually leave negative reviews but staff had ample opportunity to make a personal touch.

Meh. Wouldn't rush back, not worth the price Large property to walk around
Nice bar with good food
Spa access a lovely addition
Mattress was comfortable.
Bar was the only half decent food.
Breakfast extremely poor.
Rooms not worth the price, no full length mirror in the rooms, small rooms.
Awful flat pillows
Water never got hot.
No toilet roll holder in bathroom? Left on side of sink
Rude staff in the spa

This was the fourth stay at Last Drop and definitely not as good. Room was smaller, stained carpet, table but no chairs ( always had chairs in previous rooms and pictures of family cottages show chairs with the table) so nowhere comfy to sot with a coffee. Forced to sit on the edge of the bed. Bathroom had mould in the grout, cracked tiles and mould around the taps - not somewhere you want to be after a days work. Had a free hour in the spa and it was very busy but still found it relaxing. Steam room area is lovely. Overall a disappointing stay this time and didn’t live up to past stays or the cost of the stay either. Asked housekeeping to come a bit later as they arrived at 9.15am on Saturday morning but they did bot. So no fresh towels or bed made. No top up of tea and coffee etc. made my concerns known at reception who just said they have so many guests they don’t recognise returning/ loyal guest and do not reward them. She did acknowledge the failings and would pass them on but didn’t offer any compensation to me. Sad as i have always left happy but am unlikely to return going off this trip

Nice venue with a unique and quirky layout. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. The room was a little tired with grubby carpet, doorstop bent over and loose, clear mastic hanging of of side of bath wasn't appealing.
