Returned to the spa after a birthday disaster.
Spa refused to give us the deal even though non of it was our fault.
So hubby went to gym and sauna etc and i had a treatment.
On arrival..they knew who we were and what we were coming for..hubby and his way and a lady proceeded to take me to the treatment rooms.i asked to use the disabledift to be told its been broken for weeks...had i known..i would have chosen a different week..i proceeded to walk very slowly to the treatment room.the lady eho did my treatment was extremely nice..however she did forget to introduce herself..when i returned to reception to meet my hubby.i sat waiting for 20 minutes..not one person asked if i was ok or wsnted a drink or in fact enquired as to how my treatment went.
Would we return..not to the spa

We had our wedding at the Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa in The Penny Farthing Suite in April 2025. From start to finish, the entire experience was truly wonderful and made our day so special.
The Last Drop Village is a perfect venue as the building itself is full of character with original features alongside having the stunning countryside with wonderful views. The Penny Farthing Suite was dressed lovely on the day.
We also attended a wedding fair at The Last Drop, where we won access to the Harwood suite to use when getting ready the morning of the wedding. This was an amazing addition to the morning where we had a grazing board and fizzy to make a perfect start to the day.
The team went above and beyond, with Jacqueline helping with the planning process and the team on the day making sure everything ran smoothly, they all went above and beyond. The staff were all very professional and made us and our guests feel so welcome. We also used the ICE DJ which was part of the package who kept the dance floor full all night.
The food was incredible along with the service. All the food was presented with attention to detail. Many of our guests commented on how lovely the food was for such a mass event.
If you’re considering The Last Drop Village for your wedding, we couldn’t recommend it enough.

The hotel, at large, was quite nice and comfortable, but definitely is a bit dated in areas and the rooms, while comfortable, could use a bit of love. Overall, the room was clean and cozy, the staff were very attentive and friendly, it’s generally good value for money.

Staff were really accommodating, making our stay so good. Excellent breakfast, rooms swapped efficiently because we needed an accessible room.

The Drop Inn had good beer! Function room was large and temperature was good. The spa was excellent and going twice was a bonus. Bedroom was immaculate. Staff friendly, relaxed atmosphere with the unique street layout at the back. Nice walks available from the back of the hotel.

I liked the gym and spa and the food in the restaurant was amazing.
I felt like I was in the middle of a housing estate really off putting in the outdoor pool facing people’s homes.

facilities were fantastic, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was incredible. the room was large, clean, and very comfortable. even though there were 2 weddings on site over the weekend we stayed, we did not hear a thing. Spa, pool, and gym facilities are well maintained and easy to get around. The gym is better than your normal hotel gym.

This is a lovely place, at the outskirts of Bolton, surrounded by the countryside, pet friendly, so ideal to bring your dog. It is a hotel complex in the shape of a historical village, which gives it a unique and different feel. It is far from anything but you got all you need including a pool, spa, hotel bar, a pub, restaurant, boutiques and an old bakehouse. There is also plenty of outdoor seating space. The rooms are clean, not massive but big enough for a few nights. There was no fridge in the room, which was problematic for us as our dog is on a raw food diet. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service was good and on the ball. The communal areas could be a bit cleaner but were ok. It is a very quiet place so we got a good rest and were able to relax. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this for a shorter trip of 2-3 nights for which it is ideal.

The spa has seen better days. Changing rooms are poor. Dirty. Not clean. Toilets not clean. The massage wasn’t the best. The girl from Wigan who did the massage did not want to be there. The afternoon tea after was great. Nice food. Server lovely.

A Relaxing and Enjoyable Stay
I had an excellent experience at this hotel, which made working away from home a real pleasure. The location is stunning, with beautiful views of Bolton and a peaceful atmosphere. The spa was a real highlight—absolutely fantastic for unwinding after a busy day.
There are a couple of great dining options on-site, both serving delicious food, and just behind the hotel are a few charming shops to browse through.
As a female travelling alone, I felt completely comfortable and at ease throughout my stay. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always helpful. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed—highly recommend! Leaving.

Property is excellent and absolutely no complaints at all
The only thing I can complain about is that I had paid for rose petals on the bed for a special occasion for me and my partner and when we checked in the guy who checked us in spoilt the surprise and mentioned it whilst my partner was stood next to me, sounds petty but it was a special occasion and supposed to be a little surprise

Room service food was terrible. Was suppose to have avocado, nuts and seeds. Disappointing and well overpriced. Tried to call the restaurant to complain but no answer so gave up!
