We stayed at the Last Drop Village and Spa for 3 nights for a city visit. It was ideal for us as we were visiting Manchester and going g to the Lake District. The rooms were good. There were clean (we inspected!) and quite spacious. We were 3 adults in a Classic Family Room. However, there were a number of cracks on the walls and not plastered up well... this was the only downsize to the stay, but it didn't affect our stay.
The service was phenomenal! All of the team were polite and extremely helpful. A massive shout out to Rosie, on front desk who was super helpful if providing items and information when required. The breakfast here is amazing. You have a wide variety of foods and if you are a vegetarian or vegan, there are food options here also, just ask! The aesthetics of the grounds were serene, picturesque. We took a walk around the grounds to discover the pub, bridal shop, hair salon and more. It truly is a little Village with its own postbox. And surprisingly a helipad too! (For those who want to arrive in style!) The hotel leads to the countryside and golfing facilities nearby for those who take up the sport.
The spa is wonderful. You enter in through the changing rooms, to the main pool and from there, you have access to the thermal journey spa area- this was most enjoyable. The thermal pool was warm with a small 'waterfall' to allow it to hit on your back. Just outside of the thermal pool are the 6 sauna/steam rooms, each with their own function to evoke relaxation and a refreshing shower to help you hydrate alongside the water fountain. There is a limitation on timing to the facilities (only because of its popularity with the local residents). Guests can use it until 1pm and after 8pm without booking, however you do not need to pay to book if you want to use if during 1pm and 8pm, just notify at the spa reception - delightful!
It was a shame we didn't have more time to eat at the restaurant itself, but I am happy to know of this charming oasis to return on another occasion in the future. Highly recommended!

Had a good last-minute Bank Holiday break here and liked it. The room was lovely, nice and clean and the spa and pool was good. My only tiny complaint was that my buffet cooked breakfast was not hot, everything was tepid, but the restaurant and bar was very busy to be fair. I will still be returning again to the spa and hotel.

Great spa The spa was great . The flurry of emails trying to upsell prior to arrival whilst leaving out critical information like you were entitled to use the spa from 6am to 1pm

A countryside gem Large comfy room, staff were so welcoming in the reception, bar and restaurant Checking that all light bulbs in the room work and hangers are in the wardrobe before a guest comes would be helpful

relaxing and recharging SPA outside of town very nice area, good spa and treatments. the place is a typical English country cottage spread to many cottages, very well maintained, peaceful, lovely. the staff was nice but unfortunately a bit slow in the service (20 minutes for a cappuccino which was not warm....) also, the elevator is missing but it is not too bad if the staff is helping. Recommended if you want a week end out of the city and the stress service a bit slow, coffee was not warm. But staff was helpful

Lacked personal experience. We enjoyed the unique village building feel to the acomodation however the location has a new housing estate built around it. The pool and spa looked great however we did not use them on this visit. We were disappointed with only 1 towel in the room. The room lacked luxury / extras for the price paid. Breakfast was ok but would expect a menu and the cooked breakfast option for the price.

Attractive hotel, comfortable stay. Attractive hotel with good facilities. Very comfy bed, clean bathroom with good shower. Good choice at breakfast. Tea at breakfast was not hot. The village tea shop has not been open since before covid, but is still advertised on the website.

Lovely place and clean rooms! Loved the quirky layout, the fact it is actually a mini village was great! The heated towel rail was on full blast and it turned the room into a sauna!
