Attended a conference today at the Last Drop Village Hotel. Spacious conference rooms. Good food. The IT all worked well i.e microphones, projector.
Set in a beautiful location.
Plenty of parking.
Plenty of ladies toilets too.
It is not directly off the motorway but worth that little extra drive.
This hotel is really worth considering if you are looking for a conference venue.

First time I have visited this Hotel and was extremely impressed with the hotel and surroundings. We had our lunch provided by the hotel and was really impressed with the gluten free options especially the chocolate cheesecake! Would like to say a big thank you to all the staff who were allocated to look after us on the day and being very attentive to our needs...Well done!

Nice venue with great facilities. Morning coffees and lunch was great good selection well presented. Catering staff were great especially Nicola (I thinks that was her name?) nothing was to much trouble for her to sort out.

Thank you Nicola for the fantastic service you provided.
Extremely helpful and very efficient.
It was a pleasure this year as Nicola went the extra mile to provide a fantastic service for both exhibitors and delegates.
Thanks you for making it a pleasure as it makes a difference!
Thanks you

Tried to make me pay again even though I had already paid through Hotels.com saying it had not been paid. After showing proof they finally accepted it was paid. Hotel is very nice but over priced. Lovely area

I am holding a Masquerade Ball for charity here tonight, I cannot thank the staff enough, particularly Sam O'Shaunessey (who works 24 hours/day) reads my emails and responds in the late hours when I am panicking and the lovely Liz Blackmore who has been so kind and generous. i understand why she won Inspirational Woman 2018. If anyone is looking for a venue for a wedding, christening or any celebration venue I would definitely recommend here. The hotel and grounds are simply beautiful. Thank you everyone and see you later.

So visited here yesterday, if you are Vegetarian makes sure you ask for the right menu because on the main menu theres not a lot of variety, the food wasn’t very appetising . Spa is amazing really good choice, they have a lovely infinity pool which children can go in however they are not allowed in the steam room, saunas and such.

Well what can I say, but this place is an ideal getaway especially if the weather is on your side, the view is fantastic.
The spa is well worth the visits and yes you should go more than once on your stay!
The staff are friendly and nice.
Rooms are very clean and very well present for atonal.
Rooms servicing was prompt and the looked like we hadn’t been in it at all.
My partner and I will return.
Also a special mention to the older short is lady on breakfast. She was very nice and spoke to us while paying for breakfast. Was a nice personal touch.

If you are looking for somewhere to get married you won't find many places better than The Last Drop. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel like we were the only people who mattered to the hotel. The service from each and every member of staff was superb. So friendly and helpful.
We were a small wedding party of only 23 and were married in the Chetham suite. We had our wedding breakfast in the Mimosa suite. The rooms are ideal for a party of 23/24 and you get a really 'cosy' feel from the room.
Our guests stayed in the newly refurbished courtyard rooms which were finished to a really high standard. For the price they are excellent value for money and really comfortable. We stayed in the honeymoon suite (room 46) which was huge and also very comfortable.
Food served was always really well presented and very tasty. We asked for a table of 12 the night before and also for breakfast and this was accommodated with no problem. Drinks are not the cheapest but I have been to other venues where they are more expensive so it wasn't an issue.
The spa area was included in our stay and this was excellent too.
I have to say the biggest plus for the Last Drop, and the main reason you should consider this as a venue, is the staff. We were looked after so well, nothing was ever too much trouble and they really made our wedding. Jade and Vicki, our wedding planners, were always available to us and made sure we were at ease throughout our stay. Both were amazing.
Then there was Lauren... who was our 'master of ceremonies' for the day. When I say day I mean the whole day as she was with us from the start of the day right until our night do finished. She was simply superb and a real credit to the hotel. She made sure the wedding ceremony went without a hitch, the breakfast ran like clockwork and then reserved the Drop Inn for us exclusively which made us feel really important! Everyone commented on how professional she was but also how friendly and natural she came across. If you can hand pick a master of ceremonies I would urge you to choose Lauren,
As I have mentioned, every member of staff was so nice to us during our stay. You can tell they are all massively intent on providing the best service they can and all do it so naturally it makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave.
Whoever is in overall charge of the hotel should be very proud of the team they have around them as they made our wedding day.
We cannot thank you all enough and we will definitely return.

The Last Drop Village Hotel &Spa is a nice place, and the village in particular has a lot of character. Certainly worthwhile a trip over the weekend, especially when the weather is good. Quite a few things are done to also entertain the kids.
The rooms were nice, but obviously not luxurious. Recently renovated and we especially liked the walk in shower. The beds were fine for a good nights sleep.

The spa was also fine, but nothing outstanding. For our taste the water in the thermal suit was a bit too hot, and while it is nice to have an outside area, the view across the parking lot was not as appealing as it could have been, given the location.

Service in the restaurant was good, even though we did have to wait quite a while for the dessert. The food itself was average, somewhat missing the imagination that would go beyond your normal Sunday Roast.

All in all, it was a nice and relaxing stay, also due to the brilliant weather. Certainly good value for money.

My friend and I visit spas across the north of England. This one was particularly nice. It is a very peaceful setting on the top of a hill and looks like an ordinary hotel unless you go round the back where there is a pub, a tearoom and some shops. There are beautiful walks all around and the hotel itself is very nice. The spa and treatments were good and the outdoor jacuzzi and thermal suite is a lovely area. Food is good too. Almost all the staff were lovely. One of the staff however gave a really good impression of consistently sucking a lemon and was overly assertive at dinner. Despite this we had a great time. Just one tip there is no air conditioning so it can get a little stuffy in the rooms.

We were on a ' Just Go ' coach holiday and staying at the Last Drop Village Hotel from 19th to 23rd April 2018.
Very attractive and quirky converted old farm buildings which had a special appeal. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The first two nights evening meals were pretty dire but I am pleased to say that that last two evening meals were much better. Breakfasts were absolutely fine and the swimming pool was a really good bonus. Only other gripe was the high price of the drinks at the bar .
Would I stay again ? Yes, I would.

As spa members we regularly use all the hotel facilities and restaurants. We were lucky enough to be asked to try a new dish the chef had just prepared. We gave the meal 9 out of 10, but should have given it 10. The meal was superb and complimentary. We love coming here, for the facilities, service and atmosphere.

I was brought in at a late stage to run a conference to be held at Last Drop. Hannah couldn't have been more helpful - she went out of her way to ensure that the event ran smoothly and was always on hand to assist. The food served during the conference (snacks, lunches and conference dinner) was outstanding - there were some great comments about the conference dinner from our delegates. Nicola, Ryan, Rhodri, Jane, Lauren, and Danny on the conference/events/banqueting team were incredible - I couldn't have got through it without their assistance/support. Martin, the Banqueting Manager, deserves credit for having such a fabulous and helpful team who are motivated to assist in any and every way.

The conference rooms were fantastic, and the team were happy to sit down and review each day whether changes were needed to the original plans. The rooms were spacious and (mostly) well-lit with great facilities. The Penny Farthing lower bar area wasn't particularly great (no electrical outlets, a bit dark), but the rest of the space available in that suite meant that it wasn't necessary to use that as a break out area. The conference was spread out across three of the suites, which was exactly what we wanted, but there wasn't much in the way of signposting to the other suites from the main Pennine suite; however, when this was raised, it was rectified quickly by the team.

I had breakfast every day in the restaurant - Isobel was so lovely!!! So kind, helpful and thoughtful. The food there wasn't so good - under-cooked sausages and overcooked eggs - but the service more than made up for it. The bar food that I had in the evening was lovely, and Jordana in the bar was brilliant.

When I arrived at the hotel, my room was a little unkempt - only small things, but enough to notice. When I mentioned this to Hannah it was sorted out promptly and efficiently. The housekeeping staff came in every day to refresh the towels and empty the bins, and the bed was made every day - something that makes a huge difference when you've had a long day! The maintenance team deserve a special mention, as they were working extremely hard on upgrading the property - Arnie was an absolute joy to talk to.

The only downside to my courtyard room was that there was a bright, white, emergency light right outside my room (room 2) and even in the dead of night it was incredibly bright and caused me to sleep really badly - the blackout curtains weren't man enough to keep the light out.

I eventually had time to use the spa facilities on the final day of the conference; the facilities were mostly clean and well-maintained. The outdoor heated pool was unfortunately not available, but I made use of the other facilities. The only things that disappointed me somewhat were that the Aromatherapy Steam room wasn't particularly aromatic (smelt a little musty, in fact!) and that the shower to use in the spa area only had hot water - after a sauna, I like to have a cold shower but that wasn't possible.

I will definitely visit again for personal and business reasons - and hopefully will get time (and the weather!) to appreciate the amazing location.

Never did I know this little hidden gem was here! So glad the other half found it.
The ladies on Reception were lovely when we went in, we then progressed to our upgraded room, which was lovely, bed was massive and very comfortable.
We went and sat on the veranda had a few drinks before our treatments.
We went into the pool and hydrotherapy area, which was lovely. Nice to relax with the open view of grounds (wish we could have taken our fizz in though)
I had a back massage and facial and the polish lady did a fabulous job, really enjoyed it. And partner had back and head massage, we was all relaxed and comfortable
We had 2 bottles of wine and prosecco in the room, which was a little on the pricey side but expected.
We then went for eve meal, which was really good value for money, mine was lovely and the waiting staff were very attentive and the male host was fantastic. We then drank in the bar and lovely bar staff made me my fav martini pornstars.
We had a good night sleep, no noise and was woken nicely. Had breakfast which was very nice again, and had a lovely older lady who was serving us. We then went back into the pool, hydro pool before leaving. Had a great experience and would 100% be back again.

Pleasant village set up, hard to navigate for a conference, but fun to explore. Had bath, which is a hotel treat these days, free WiFi and USB ports for phone chargers. Friendly and helpful staff. Best place in Bolton!

My friend and I arrived for our midweek spa break unsure what to expect - It was our first ever spa break so we had nothing to compare it to. When we checked in, we found we’d been given the complimentary room upgrade promised when you book direct. We were directed to our executive room once the reception staff had explained the spa, confirmed our treatment times & made our dinner reservations for the hotel restaurant (included in our break).

Next, we set off to our room. The hotel is a series of 17th ventury refurbished buildings, so we did have to go outside briefly to get to our room - this wasn’t an issue though and the grounds and paths were amazingly well maintained.

Once in our room, we were very happy with what we found. Both beds were super comfy, there was plenty of wardrobe (and floor) space, it was decorated to a high standard and the bathroom had a bath and shower, so we were both happy!

We weren’t sure whether we had to go to the spa in our clothes and change there, or go down in swimwear & dressing gowns but decided on the latter to save time. Upon arriving, we were advised there were lockers which required a refundable £1 coin to lock. You can get towels from the desk at the spa too, so you don’t need to use your room’s towels. (I'd recommend changing down there if I were you).

The Spa changing room was clean and well equipped. The main pool was lovely too. Once into the spa, Last Drop Village went from a good hotel to actual heaven. The hydrotherapy pool was hot tub temperature - easily 38-40 degrees. There were intermittent jets and a waterfall too. In the inside section, you could sit down on standard L shaped seats and have your back blasted by the jets, or opt for jet-free contoured seats in a more reclined position in the outdoor infinity side of the pool. (See - I told you it was heaven)! There were more L shaped Jet covered seats outside too. The outdoor section had a roof and walls to 3 sides, but the 4th side was open, which allowed views over the local countryside and the hotel grounds.

The spa area had 6 therapy rooms you could use any time - 2 types of sauna, one steam room, one aromatherapy steam room and two others which were cooler, but I can't recall their names. The aromatherapy steam room was our favourite - it was pumping out a mild eucalyptus in the steam and really cleared your airways and mind.

There’s a water fountain within the spa area, or you can go upstairs to the chillout zone and enjoy free water, orange juice or hot drinks. Our spa treatments were booked for 4.30pm. We were greeted in the chillout zone by our therapists and both treated to an amazing facial each. My therapist listened to my skin issues and chose the best suited products for my dry, sensitive skin. It was bliss!

Once we’d showered and got ready to eat, we headed down to the restaurant a little early, so we went to the bar. The staff were super friendly and brought our drinks over to us along with the bill for them - prices were on par with Manchester City Centre restaurants.

Our meals were fantastic - I’m vegetarian, and as well as the two veggie main course options on the standard menu, I was given the vegan menu to see. (Pictures below). The bar and restaurant staff couldn’t do enough for us. We didn't feel rushed at all, and waiting times were around 10 minutes for our starter, then around 5 minutes after our bowls were cleared away, our main course arrived. 5 minutes after our dessert orders were taken, our choices arrived, and were delicious! We paid for our drinks at the end of our meal, and didn't have to get up to order refills as we ate, thanks to the attentive service staff.

We went up to our room at this point and had an amazing night's sleep. We woke feeling super refreshed and headed down for breakfast, planning on just having toast so we could head back into the spa afterwards before checking out.

One look at the continental breakfast and self serve buffet, and we both knew we were eating more than we'd planned! My friend opted for a full English, while I had a bowl of fruit with natural yogurt, a slice of toast and some mini pastries - delicious! There's also a menu you can order your breakfast from, if you prefer.

We headed to reception after eating to check when we could use the spa until.... We were advised we had to check out of our room at 11am but were free to use the facilities all day. We packed our bags, loaded them into the car and then went to check out (at 9am). We then went back down to the spa with just our swimming things and enjoyed the spa facilities all morning, before heading out to explore the shops within the village.

Roly the Bulldog made my day, sat outside the boutique watching everyone milling around - he was such a good boy! We had an ice cream and a pot of tea in the Tea Room before finally saying goodbye to Last Drop - for now at least!

Sorry for waffling on in this review - Congratulations if you made it this far! I'm sure you've already guessed I'd highly recommend visiting Last Drop - I'm already planning a spa day for hubby and I's wedding anniversary in June, as well as a girls spa break for myself and some of my mum friends.
