the positives - the receptionists were helpful and gave me an upstairs room which i wanted and it was a lovely room. number 77 large and lovely bathroom. room was fresh and clean and the large bed super comfortable - linen clean and cotton which was nice. towels all fresh and toiletries good quality - coffee and assorted teas were left. room cleaned and tidied every day to a high standard. room large with armchairs and a table which if you ordered room service was ideal. hotel in a good location plenty of cabs available and buses into bolton down the hill. plenty of nice walks and country area.

now the negatives.

only eat in the bar and restaurant on the last day - it was not good. 12 noon ordered a hot chocolate and a bacon and egg muffin as did my partner. hot chocolate made 3 times but it was not exactly HOT - muffins came out and then was taken back as they were sent to the wrong table although there were only 2 tables occupied at the time. eventually they re-appeared and they were cooked fine bacon well done as requested/.

went back at 6pm for dinner. disappointed service fell short on several occasions. food disappolinting. ordered the fishcakes for both of us - very fishy not enough potatoes in them - dressing about a teaspoon full and a few leaves. next i had the rump steak burger with cheese and bacon not good. burger king burger with bacon far superior - the burger did not have a lot of taste the bacon was thick bits and not crispy and as for the cheese a chunk of cheese probably microwaved on top and not melted enough. awful

however it was the service that needs sorting out. the fish cakes came out with no cutlery or condiments and we had to get up and sort this out. tables were not cleared as people left.

the overall impression is that most of the food is brought in from brakes bros.l or similar.

swimming pool looked inviting but the outside part overlooks the car park when it could have been overlooking the fields and grounds.

The hotel was great rooms very clean and comfortable - except we had trouble turning the taps on and off but we managed. Swimming pool and infinity pool great a really good size. Can't really comment on the food as we were with a coach party and food is different to that offered in the restaurant. Lovely position with walks in surrounding countryside.

The thing hat make this place is the pool and water spa. Free for hotel guests. Good size pool to do the laps in and, on business, not enough time to properly enjoy all the saunas, steam rooms and bubbly pools including one outside. Very frendly staff and simple but nice food menu. Quirky rooms, not a Marriot! Can get busy. No airco in the rooms. I had a very hot night in the attic room. Overall good value will stay again.

I had my wedding here on the saturday 9th June. The staff were fantastic and made sure the day ran smoothly.

I had lots of good comments about the wedding meal and buffet. The food was amazing.

I couldn't fault anything on the wedding day as it was perfect.

Lovely hotel and helpful staff. Few issues with the hot water in the room, but enjoyed our stay.

Had a lovely overnight stay here on 'Fabulous fizz Friday' deal. Nothing too much trouble. We had been allocated a room on the first floor but as mum struggles with stairs and their was no lift in the older part of the buding I asked if the had anything ground level. The receptionist moved us without question, helped with our bags and personally went to get our prosecco, robes and water from the original room and arranged for the bed to be split into twins. We were close to the spa which had a great pool and thermal suite. The evening meal choices included in the package were good and the food standard was excellent. Overall a great stay and we would definitely recommend and return

5 of us sat in the lounge in comfy chairs and sofa's , we all had wine and beer with a couple of bowls of sweet potato chips , they were to die for and soon vanished however at £3-50 a bowl we didn't order more .. it was a nice relaxing atmosphere and a pleasant way to spend an afternoon with friends .. since my last visit here there has been a few changes made to improve the bar and Lounge and it has made a huge difference ..its a super Hotel and i will stay here next time i visit Bolton ..

I visited for a wedding and stayed over two nights. I can honestly say that I have seldom felt more relaxed. I slept well, ate well, went on some lovely walks and enjoyed sitting in the bars and tea shops. I didn't even get as far as the spa! Would certainly love to go again.

We visited the tea rooms and inn today for a snack after a local walk. We ordered a kids afternoon tea and 3 of the bowls of bites. The 2nd staff in the inn and tea rooms were fantastic but the person who really stood out was Nicola. She was chatty with the kids, went above and beyond when it came to service even checking with the main kitchen to suit our needs. The food was fantastic and it's a perfect location to spend a sunny afternoon.

The treatments were good and all staff were friendly. Let down for me is there was no outside area to sit when it was really hot. Lunch was a pre prepared box which I could not understand when there is a restaurant that served food. For these reasons would not visit again.

The Last Drop Village is a surprising gem... Stayed here as part of a conference group I organised and it was a joy. All the stresses of wanting people to have a good time were taken away. People loved the spa (a bit too much!) and the rooms were very clean. The village itself just put a smile on your face. A special thanks to Nicola who supported us throughout - she was highly committed and her dedication shone through. Overall then, a working pleasure at a reasonable price....!

Stayed here with work in May and the hotel has everything you could need. Rooms very spacious and had comfy beds and nice soft towels. Bar staff were very friendly and not too pricey for drinks. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We attended the Last Drop Inn for a Charity Masquerade Ball. We also spent the night is one of the Executive rooms. It's been a long time since I stayed at the hotel and I have to say it has come on leaps and bounds, the refurbishment has been done to a very high standard. The room was fantastic, the facilities are some of the best if not the best in Bolton. I would highly recommend the hotel for business or leisure. Make sure you take your swimming costume the outside pool is amazing and the indoor pool very large. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and professional, nothing was too much effort. Thanks for a great evening and fantastic stay in one of the comfiest beds I have stayed in for a long time!.

This amazing venue is a true Gem, unlike traditional hotels this is an entire village and has beautiful gardens.

I recently booked the Last Drop Village for a corporate event. We had 60 people for a 2 day conference with accommodation, food and refreshments.

The conference rooms were well equipped and everything was in good working order which allowed the conference and presentation to run smoothly.

The rooms were cleaned to a high standard, comfortable, warm and welcoming.

Our lunch and refreshments on both days was well presented , fresh and tasted great.

We had our evening event in the on site pub, we enjoyed a great evening with Karaoke , pool and darts and a fork buffet.

Throughout our event the staff were friendly and very accommodating. There was always somebody available to support with anything we needed.

Id highly recommend the last drop for corporate events.

The room we had was lovely (an executive ) but the corridor stank and was very dated . The breakfast was not good . We were shoved in an extra room because they were full. There wasn’t any plates - the food was like warm and there wasn’t any cups either . Very disappointed ! Reception when checking in was also extremely slow .

First time attending a ‘party night’ at this venue and I was duly impressed. The room and tables were nicely arranged and laid out. The food was hot, well presented and delicious. An attentive and helpful team who included Danny,Tom, Euan and Freddie who catered without fuss to everyone’s needs and requirements throughout the entire evening and along with the great entertainment, made for a very enjoyable night for all in our group.

I caught sight of one of the young chaps names, as i was too busy hsving fun, but Euan along with the others were fantastic. Food delivered professionly and water jugs were kept filled up. Well done Last Drop another fantastic night.

Attended a conference today at the Last Drop Village Hotel. Spacious conference rooms. Good food. The IT all worked well i.e microphones, projector.
Set in a beautiful location.
Plenty of parking.
Plenty of ladies toilets too.
It is not directly off the motorway but worth that little extra drive.
This hotel is really worth considering if you are looking for a conference venue.

First time I have visited this Hotel and was extremely impressed with the hotel and surroundings. We had our lunch provided by the hotel and was really impressed with the gluten free options especially the chocolate cheesecake! Would like to say a big thank you to all the staff who were allocated to look after us on the day and being very attentive to our needs...Well done!

Tried to make me pay again even though I had already paid through Hotels.com saying it had not been paid. After showing proof they finally accepted it was paid. Hotel is very nice but over priced. Lovely area

I am holding a Masquerade Ball for charity here tonight, I cannot thank the staff enough, particularly Sam O'Shaunessey (who works 24 hours/day) reads my emails and responds in the late hours when I am panicking and the lovely Liz Blackmore who has been so kind and generous. i understand why she won Inspirational Woman 2018. If anyone is looking for a venue for a wedding, christening or any celebration venue I would definitely recommend here. The hotel and grounds are simply beautiful. Thank you everyone and see you later.
