Won’t return! Location as we were visiting family Room was small and tired. Breakfast was poor with only very cheap thin bread on offer.

Booked for afternoon tea today . Disappointing - the soup was a surprise and nice and hot. Only two choice of sandwich- three fingers each. Two mini scones three very mini cakes and one mini biscuit.
Absolutely not value for money at nearly £30 each sat in a bar area.
Would I recommend-no
Would I return- no
Needs improvement

Room was clean and well provided. Meals were good. Although the hotel advertises EV charging available, it is actually provided by a third party in the car park and did not work, but the hotel could do nothing to help. Since this was an overnight stay on a longer trip it was inconvenient to have to seek out an alternative charger.

We had our wedding at the last drop and it was amazing. Jacqueline the wedding coordinator helped us from initial meeting throughout our planning and was even available on the day to provide support. The staff were all lovely and helpful but ultimately very professional and made the day run with ease so we didn’t have to worry about anything on the day.

The food was delicious and there was plenty of it and we had the prefect day.

It was ok but will not be returning. This was for my daughter’s 30th birthday as we came for her 18th which was a wonder Staff were very helpful, room was basic but clean. I had to report the state of the ladies toilets in the reception area, we were put in a small room quiet out of the atmosphere of the dining room for evenning meal, drinks got mixed up with another table, then had a lengthy wait for my daughters drink, had to ask twice. I thought I booked the package hotel and spa but was told no, I had to pay for breakfasts, told I had booked separately so had to pay for robe and slippers in spa, the spa experience very very crowded so uncomfortable in the individual areas of spa including thermal experience.

Really friendly staff, great spa facilities. Room was upgraded for free. Lady at breakfast was a bit grumpy and kept disappearing, so you couldn't ask for more drinks.

Stayed over for a few nights, the staff were amazing, rooms cleaned daily and we eat in all the restaurants. Lovely food for all meals, breakfast, dinner and tea.
Would definitely recommend visiting the Last Drop and using the spa.

Thanks all for a lovely break!

This place is very tired and the staff are just going through the motions. We were locked outside for 20 minutes after arrival in the cold when their entry key pads failed. Their security is so poor their internal (supposed to be locked) doors are left open at night. Their restaurant and breakfast staff are nonchalant and uninterested in attention to detail. We were left waiting for cutlery for breakfast. The toaster is ancient and terrible. The redeeming factor is the swimming pool and the location with access to great dog walks. Thank god we were only there for two nights and one of those we ate out ! No fridge in executive room or additional tv channels. No biscuits or extras in the rooms. Don’t ask about dietary needs you’ll be ignored.

Relaxing but could score higher with a little investment. The therapy pool was fabulous Run down in places, restaurant chairs were awful. Broken tiles in steam room.

Was ok There were many options within the complex such as hotel, separate pub that did the most amazing steak and ale pie, bakery/cafe, tea shop, gift shop and more and also a pool, spa and hydrotherapy area. Reception staff helpful. Lots of parking. Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bedding and pillows. Was able to request an extra pillow to the room. Some area need a bit of updating. No lift or on hand help to get your bags and cases to your room if on upper floors. Our room was up multiple stairs and they multiple corridors so was cumbersome to have to carry our cases all that way. The breakfast staff member, female (50-60ish yr old) had a bad attitude which made us feel uncomfortable , she was quite off, unwelcoming and really couldn’t be bothered but other staff were lovely and helpful. The cooked breakfast wasn’t very nice, the egg had a weird taste (obviously wasn’t cooked in butter), the mushroom over done, the bacon under done and the sausage had a weird taste, advertised as Cumberland but did not have usual Cumberland flavour.

Externally looks good. Good spa.
Room was large but lacking " something " . No tissues in room.
Stayed 2 nights. No change of towels or additional water.
Coffee facilities in room very basic.
Bathroom ...windows didn't open , fan didn't work. No shower cap . Handle on toilet broken. Old radiator - type that usually asks not to put anything covering. Needs heated towel.
Comfortable enough large bed but lights kept on until v late and noise of generator disturbing

Lovely staff especially Elsie, Amy and of course Franco... Food in the restaurant was fabulous, and we really liked our spacious room... The facilities, pool, spa etc were very good and free to use, and a shoulder/back massage was £45 for half an hour.... I just sincerely hope that the poor receptionist throat gets better..😇

The team at Last Drop ensured we had such a memorable day at our Charity Lunch. From
The start, Jazmin was brilliant in the lead-up and on the day itself handing over to the operations team. We had over 150 people there, and the suite looked amazing. The food was fantastic — so many people told us how much they loved it — and the service was spot on. The whole team looked great and were really helpful, which made the day feel really special. Great location and lots of free parking. The hotel kindly donated some vouchers including A Spa Day in the fantastic Spa & Leisure Club - these went down a treat in the raffle. Thanks for helping us make it such a memorable event! Look forward to returning in the future.

We visited this hotel in October 2025 as part of our anniversary celebrations.

After reading the reviews we had fairly low expectations but have decided to give a fair review.

We arrived on Tuesday night and parking was quite tricky, however once we parked check in went smoothly and we went up to our room.

Our room was very spacious, the bathroom looked fairly new. The 'Happy anniversary' plate was a very nice touch and much appreciated. The room was cleaner than other hotels I have stayed in, but a notable exception was the mould growing around the plug holes and the dirty remote. After reading other reviews I packed cleaning wipes so we fixed this.

We didn't eat on site, the menus seemed to have a good range of food including vegetarian but didn't have anything that we fancied. We did order dessert via the room service which was lovely.

The pool/thermal suite

The thermal suite was nice, sadly the salt room was out of action which is disappointing as we were hoping to use that specifically. A couple of the rooms had minor repairs done but generally pleasant and relaxing.

The main problem in the thermal suite was people! The first night there was a couple outwardly engaging in more than 'heavy petting' and the second night there was a drunk lady shouting and singing (it later turned out she was roomed on the same corridor as us and kept us awake for a good portion of the night). There was discarded drinks bottles in the steam room and sauna and used chewing gum in the water fountain. Something to note is that a lot of people sit on their phones in the outdoor infinity pool despite signage, this did make me feel uncomfortable as you don't know if photos/videos are being taken. Perhaps if staff regularly walked around this would discourage some of the behaviours?

I did have a lovely treatment! One of the best massages I've ever had!

Staffing

Every single member of staff we encountered, be it a direct interaction or just in passing was polite, professional and it felt like they couldn't do enough. An absolute credit!

Overall we would go back to try and experience the thermal suite without disruption, and to get a full night's sleep
