Excellent stay can’t wait to stay here again. Lovely hotel with a beautiful village feel. Food amazing 10/10. Friendly service by all staff. Comfy bed & pillow Room spotless. Made to feel welcome. I think if I could recommend turning the lights lower in the courtyard bar were the sofas are spot lights quite bright. But that’s my opinion, always feels more cosy when the lights are not as bright especially spot light!

Great value for money and surprisingly good There is a small village attached to the complex with a few little shops and a pub. Our kids were most impressed that there was a toy shop. The Spa was excellent. The changing rooms for the pool need updating, but the pool was clean and just what we wanted. We initially thought we would leave the hotel for lunch and evening meal, but the food throughout our stay was excellent and we ended up eating all our meals in the restaurant or bar. Surprisingly, they had an excellent selection of vegan food. The staff we extremely friendly and helpful, including the trainees. We travel extensively as a family and it was pleasing to find our family room was a really good size and great value for money. The only small negative was our room was looking a little tired and the beds were not the most comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it to our friends and family . Staff extremely helpful even changed our room on arrival to be nearer the spa. Spa facilities were good . Breakfast choice was excellent and well organised . The room was comfortable clean and warm . The choice of beers from the bar was limited. Bar menu also was rather limited would probably opt for the restaurant in future.

Beautiful location and entrance, but not as lovely as it was due to huge housing developement. We attended a function in a rather tatty room where we were served undercooked fish & tepid food that had definítely been sat in a bain marie for some time resulting in congealed sauce.

Very nice hotel. The service is excellent. The roms are really nice and comfortable, and the beds are lush. Bathroom, very nice, only negative is the metal shelf was loose, need fixing, one pillow had a rip, and mark in the colour sheet. Overall, it was a really great experience for my birthdays. THANK YOU!!

Exceptional Very comfortable rooms and hotel We returned from a family party near the hotel and went for a drink in the bar with friends for a drink. There clearly was some tension in the bar area which resulted in a member of staff asking for calm. We finished our drinks quicker than normal and went to bed. We heard

A really good time had by my wife and myself
The food was excellent and the service also very good.
However, the bathroom could do with a revamp, looking rather tired and infact rusty places.

A mixed bag. Nice swimming pool. Weird spa pool overlooking the car park. ‘Executive’ rooms are spacious but very dated and in need of a deep clean. Hotel is composed of cool buildings and the whole place with quaint back street of shops has a nice village feel. Helpful staff. Decent food and nice airy bar area. Probably the best hotel in Bolton but the rooms need updating and brightening up. Excellent gym.

We came here for the 2 day 2023 New Year's Eve celebrations.
Arrived the day before ( 30th ), and although the room wasn't ready, we were told we could go for afternoon tea early ( part of the package )
The service was great, and the afternoon tea was great, too, with a soup to start.
After this, the room was ready.
We were allocated an executive room not in the main building.
Later, after unpacking, we went to the pool ( per booking is required)
Thermal journey and pool
All very clean and enjoyable.
Meal at night was 2 courses depending if you wanted a starter or desert, again part of the package.
The following day was a buffet breakfast .
Later that day, we again used the pool .
There are some walks that took you around a lake, an old quary, and the golf course.
We didn't do it because of the weather
At night, it was gala dinner.
( included in the package)
6.30 start with champagne and canopies, followed by 5 course meal.
Singer, Dj till 1 am
Following the day, breakfast
Check out 11 am online, easy
Well worth a visit not only for this but on any weekend or mid week break

Update since last visit last year.
A stay of 2 halfs, sadly.
The first 24 hrs are not the best with problems with the room
Holes in towels, wallpaper coming the wall, lamp shades getting past it sell by date.
Tiles in the bathroom cracked with black mould in places.
Afternoon tea, soup cold and service not great
On a plus, the spa thermal journey is good, and the meal at night was good.
Sadly again, the pub on site advertised live entertainment, the staff didn't know about even though posters were on the wall.
The first breakfast wasn't great either, slow service, no menus on the table.
Other guests also complained
Then, it was time for a massage in the spa
From that moment, the 2 day New Years Eve break was great.
Service, food, and heat of the meals were hot and very tasty.
New Year Eve ball was perfect with Champagne and nibbles, lovelly and lots of them.
Seven course meal with three glasses of wine to accompany the courses.
Dj and singer had the room dancing with a piper at midnight.
Breakfast the next day was perfect.
Check out no problem either.
Conclusion is that when certain staff work, service is better
Shouldn't be like that, but that is how it seemed
A little bit of an upgrade wouldn't go amiss

Staff were great, restaurant served quality food and again very attentive. Spa was great. We had to change rooms due to no hot water and it was literally next door and upgraded! For the inconvenience we received a 20 pound drink voucher!

Wonderful place for a short break All very pleasant, more or less as expected, staff friendly, afternoon tea was delicious, breakfast was good with a nice selection of foods, service excellent, spa was good and thermal pool and swimming pool were great. Rooms large and comfortable. Overall very nice place for our short relaxing break. Overall everything was fine so no complaints. It would have been nice to have toiletries for two in the bathroom, only a set for one was provided. The shower was in the bathtub and it worked fine but I do prefer a walkin shower. The bed was comfortable enough, but not very comfortable and the pillows were a bit hard, but we slept ok. The spa was fine but the thermal pool was a little crowded. We all had Swedish massages but the masseuses were a little amateur so it was more like an oil body rub rather than a massage but it was relaxing anyway!

We visited ten years ago so The Last Drop has changed so much. It's surrounded by housing now so some of the view over to Bolton has gone. The Hotel itself has been extended and modernised and it looks really good. There are many rooms here so you have a great choice of lounge areas, bars, restaurants and of course the spa.The swimming pool is different because you can swim to the outside and you can take in the views.
