Overall an enjoyable experience Great location.
Excellent breakfast
Room needs some TLC... shower refurbishment.. window sill and net curtains could do with a clean.

Location, cleanliness and service cannot be faulted. It was not a cheap stay. The use of the spa and optional treatments are an advantage.
We did not use the restaurant for either dinner or break. We felt
nearly £19 for breakfast was a little expensive.

A friendly comfortable hotel with cottages available. We booked a cottage which was quiet, very comfortable and warm, not far from the hotel, The availability of a full body massage at the Spa was wonderful. The manager's help in helping my husband connect to the EV charger was much appreciated. All the staff gave good service and were welcoming and helpful.

Not impressed with room, very tired although bathroom was clearly new and luxurious. Food at breakfast was undercooked, pale and barely warm.

Having access to the pool and sauna was nice.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The bar area is nice and relaxing
The rooms are nice and well presented..
Some areas were untidy with glasses and dirty plates left in the corridor.
The staff on the bar were quite slow with a large amount of dirty glasses left on the end of the bar.
The sauna wasn't as warm as it should be, quite disappointed.
The pool wasn't as warm as it was during our first visit.

A very agreeable place to stay. It’s was a very nice place to spend some time. Rambling with lots of comfortable places to watch the world go bye. The breakfast was a little bit basic. There was an option for full English vegetarian or meat and the usual continental. It did not feel at all special though and more options would have been welcome. E.g. eggs benadict.

Comfortable, welcoming and relaxing I love the Last Drop Inn
I’ve stayed a few times in recent years
It’s very dog friendly and the setting is lovely
The food and beverage service could do with a boast
The staff, whilst lovely, could really benefit from customer service and product training

Okay spa hotel in good location Second visit in 3 years but not sure we'll return. Nice modern rooms in a cosy hotel convenient for visiting Manchester, Liverpool and the surrounding areas. Good spa facilities and decent food in the bar/restaurant. Staff generally good, especially some of the younger ones. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are a decent size with good amenities. Breakfast was disappointing this time: modest continental selection and the hot food, while served to order, was average quality (fatty bacon and cheap tasting sausages). Tea served in tiny pots (though you do get free refills). The lady who seated us most mornings was rather severe and could do with being more friendly.

You have to pre-book the spa facilities between 1-7pm but they don't police this well, so it's often overcrowded at peak times. Also, the sauna/steam rooms are never very hot. The changing room floors are dirty and don't seem to get cleaned regularly.

We stayed over New Year's Eve and found the entertainment and food pretty poor, so won't be doing that again.

We visited Last Drop over New Year's Eve 2025/26. It was our second time at the hotel in three years, but overall it seems to be going downhill and I'm not sure we'll return.

Starting with the good bits: the hotel looks great and is in a great location for visiting Manchester, Liverpool and the surrounding area. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a bath+shower, tea/coffee facilities etc. The room got nice and warm if we turned the radiator up, though it did make some funny noises while heating.

The staff were, in general, friendly and welcoming and the food and drinks in the bar area were decent. There's a good amount of parking at the hotel and it's in a nice area on the edge of a new housing estate with some grassy areas to walk around.

Next, the not so good: breakfast was overall disappointing. The selection of continental food is mixed and the hot food, while served to order, is poor quality - fatty bacon and cheap sausages. The beans and hash browns are the best bit. The service for hot food can also be slow, with some guest being served ahead of those who sat down before them. The older lady who seated us most days always had a severe look and wasn't very friendly - the younger staff were actually better and more welcoming.

The spa, which was a highlight of our previous visit, has gone downhill. Firstly, you have to pre-book a time slot between 1-7pm, presumably to avoid overcrowding, but this isn't policed very well so it's usually packed late afternoon/early evening. The sauna/steam rooms are lukewarm (possibly due to the amount of people opening and closing the doors all the time). The changing room floors are often filthy and don't seem to get cleaned regularly.

For New Year's Eve, we paid £25 each for their entertainment. The band were okay but the 'street food' felt like an afterthought and wasn't good value (£8.95 for a few lukewarm nachos in a cardboard box).

Overall, we made the best of our visit and did have a good time, but the difference between our first visit and this time is enough to tell me that it's heading in the wrong direction, probably as a result of cost-cutting measures. I don't think we'll be back anytime soon.

Lovely night away. friendly staff, good food, nice atmosphere and lovely pool/spa facilities Everything to do with our stay was good. Great atmosphere, nice swimming pools, good food and friendly staff Wasn't a massive fan of the breakfast but only because we like our bacon very well done and the coffee was very strong. we did ask for the bacon well done but I understand it was very busy

we had a spa day with treatment and afternon tea here the treatment and spa was fantastic with lovely staff, the place is beautiful and clean and great atmosphere, the only thing that stands out and it shouldn't have is the waitress serving our afternoon tea was rude and we was sat in the empty resturant with no music instead of the lovely relaxing bar area. would definitely book again though
