exceptional everything went well, staff exceptional, amazing experience, staff was above and beyond, rooms and facilaties were very good the only thing that was quite an issue, was the breakfast, i had to wait more than half an hour for toast, by then had to have a new breakfast as went very cold waiting for the toast, then when finally arrived it was"nt toasted properly, in fact it was just like normal bread, quite dissapointed, also there was little silver fish on the bedding

Nice place for relaxing but needs bits off improvement Spa facilities were top notch swimming pool, hydro therapy pool was lovely, breakfast was nice. Our wifi in our room half the time didnt come on, we had to ring to get the cleaner to come and clean our rooms, half the stuff were off like sauna steam room. Room was quite warm need a fan in there for summer times. Hated having half an hour spa sessions but we used it longer when there was less people. Hate that you have to check out early 11am but check in at 2pm

Unique hotel in a lovely spot. The freshly cooked breakfast was fabulous. Please don't go back to the breakfast buffet! The waitress was very friendly and polite making us feel very welcome. Disappointing that the surrounding land is now a new housing estate. Losy a bit of appeal because of it.

Check in was fine until I arrived in my room to find the previous guests dirty bedding and towels lying in a corner of the bedroom.
Bathroom a bit grubby but bed was comfortable.
Bar area was okay and restaurant food okay.
Entertainment started around 9pm when a guest was trying to tempt staff to have a fight.

Amazing atmosphere in the evenings, group of friends around in courtyard bar area. Nice selection of drinks at fair prices, would defiantly go again next time we are in the area. Faye served us for the night, very friendly and warming.

Great stay The attentiveness of the staff The lovely room and great breakfast. Limited use of the spa, which was the main reason for choosing the hotel. While I accept Covid’s influenced this I would expect rates to reflect.

Our 3 night stay at this hotel was unplanned, due to car trouble. We needed a base close to Bolton whilst the garage fixed the car. For the price, we were highly satisfied with our room, which was comfortable and clean. Having been on the road for a couple of weeks we picked room only, so can't comment on breakfast. We did eat in the bar and in the restaurant. The food was good. Yolande, the head receptionist is a stand out colleague, who was simply brilliant at calming the feathers of a few stroppy guests I couldn't fail to notice. Seriously, when problems occur beyond a hotel's control, a bit of patience and understanding would help. We enjoyed our banter with more experienced barman. Wish I had caught his name. When he was on duty we didn't wait to be served. He was consipicuous by his absence on Tuesday. A less experienced team behind the bar needed far better supervision and management. They were trying their best to juggle restaurant drinks order and the busy hotel bar but lacked direction, particularly as there was an unruly group in the bar that night. Personally, I think they should have been better dealt with by a duty manager. The additional hotel facilities were a bonus. I made use of the spa and pool facilities and had an amazing Back Neck and Shoulder massage with Ellie. I am sure Covid restrictions have had an impact on normal working practice. I would very happily return to the Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa. It could be fabulous.

Pleasant Great location, friendly staff, good pool. Feels tired and in need of some modernisation. Rooms are really poorly soundproofed. Breakfast was disappointing.

Pleasant stay for a short break The room we had which had sleeps 4 for the 3 of us (2 x adults and a 15yr old) was plenty big enough on the ground floor of one of the annex buildings. Comfy beds. Large flat screen tv. Tea and coffee making. Hair dryer and ironing board/ iron. Quiet didn’t really hear anyone else. Spa - pool was great although limited to 30mins a time and need to pre book. Friendly staff. Large car park. Location - not far from west pennine walk. Golf nearby as is Turton Tower either a short walk or drive. We ate in the bar (not restaurant) on the first night the steak burger and suratcha chicken were tasty. Breakfast was disappointing and not what we expected from a 4* hotel. Seemed rushed. Ingredients could have been better. Had raw black pudding on second day which I had to send back. We had less and less of the cooked side of it each day. The menu showed £15.50 pp (we paid as part of the room rate £96 per night for the 3 of us on booking.com)

Good I loved breakfast and the cleanliness of the rooms, bar area and throughout the hotel. Due to COVID-19 you had to book in adavcne to use the pool area. We were not told this when booking the hotel online and I had to personally ring as I knew that Manchester and Bolton were reviewing their lock down procedures. Once I found out that you had to book to use the spa, I rang them prior to the visit and spoke to someone who agreed that it had been booked for the agreed time. However, when we arrived at the agreed time to use the pool, my information was not found and we couldn't use the pool at that time. We were told that we could use it the following morning before checkout or they could fit us in 2 hours later than the original agreed time. The issue then meant that we had to push our other reservations off the hotel site back for even later that evening. The matter was resolved quickly, however it shouldn't have occurred in the first place.

We stayed for one night. The staff were accommodating as ever and the kids loved swimming in the pool. There was a problem with a water pump pr something that made a loud noise in our room and kept us awake but the staff did all they could to resolve the problem. We were given a fair discount and were happy in the circumstances. This was an unusual problem. We're always happy to stay at this hotel and it's much more human and caring about its customers than the large chains.
