Lovely location and very relaxing and peaceful.
The spa was amazing love the fact that you pay for the room and the spa is included at no extra cost and that you can go more than once if you book it.
The tv in the room did not work it said no cable signal on nearly all channels was a shame as it was a good size tv and it would have been good to chill out and watch tv. Also I think everyone who is using the spa should be provided with a gown and slippers weather you are having a treatment or not as me and my partner was booked into the spa but because we wasn’t having a treatment we were expected to walk from our room in our swim wear and bare feet so I had to pay £10 to hire them for me and my boyfriend which I don’t think I should have had too.

Good stay but room needed a deep clean really
The staff were fantastic, friendly & helpful. Swimming pool was great.
Booked a classic family room, it was a little tired looking and not clean, the net curtains and curtains and chairs were quite stained and in need of a good steam clean. The carpet also looked like it needed a good clean (like vax wash clean). Maybe during lockdown and hotel a bit quieter is the time to deep clean tired rooms and remove old stains. Also no fridge in the room. Which would have been helpful seeing as lockdown room service only and i had a 4yr old so wanted milk and water cool and fresh.

Had a lovely time away here. Made great use of the pool and had a lovely room service meal.
Wine list must be checked out! Couldn't fault the service, cleanliness etc everything was absolutely flawless. Our only regret us due to the pandemic we couldn't make full use of the amenities. We will be back to rectify this as soon as possible!

The staff were lovely, the public areas in the hotel and rooms were very clean. Good breakfast, however a choice of juice and fruit would be better. Excellent food and drinks service. Hydropool is amazing!

Great staff, well informed about Covid arrangements. Enjoyable and very relaxing.
Considering the current Covid situation, the place was so well run with appropriate measures in place to enjoy your own space. The staff were very friendly on the front desk and at the spa facilities. We ordered food to our room with a two and a half hour interval and it arrived at the times stated. The waiting staff handed the food over to us at the door without invading our space and collected the used items from outside our door. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing.

Surprise girls trip. Fun & Relaxing.
Check in staff very friendly and accommodating. All staff adhered to covid safety measures. Evening bar staff very friendly and couldn't have done more for us. Meal was lovely. Room service was very quick and efficient.
Spa & treatments were good but a little underwhelming. Not sure if this was due to covid restrictions. Didn't feel luxury.

Spa was lovely although the sauna was closed (due to gov guidelines), very well managed and amazing hydropool. Food was very good and not bad price at all as you often get a deal on the courses. Overall was extremely scenic and looked gorgeous

Really enjoyed our stay and were really pleased with the customer service we received from the fantastic staff within the hotel. Every person we came into contact with from the lady’s on reception to the gentleman who brought us room service were warm welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Our dining was change to room service due to the Covid pandemic, when we first found this out we weren’t looking forward to it as we assumed it wouldn’t be the same quality as having it as a sit down meal. We couldn’t have been more wrong. The food was fantastic and was delivered promptly more or less on the minute we booked it for. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would definitely return. The manager on reception Yuliya (excuse the spelling of incorrect) was absolutely fantastic, extremely helpful and made sure our stay was brilliant. Will be definitely back soon.

We booked this a couple of weeks ago and then there was a lockdown in Bolton, we were going to cancel but very glad we didn't. The stay has been amazing, the infinity pool and swimming pool are so clean and relaxing, all of the staff are so friendly, welcoming and can't do enough for you. We brought our dog and stayed in the courtyard apartments which are absolutely gorgeous, very clean, beds are extremely comfortable, very roomy, outside the accommodation is beautiful scenery with a water feature, gardens and lovely seating area. We will definitely be staying here regularly and cannot recommend this place enough. 12/10 thank you so much for such a memorable and relaxing break. x

No Restaurant or Bar Food served in the hotel communal areas. Food can be delivered to your room.
Bar is out of bounds except to collect drinks that can taken outside or to your room.
Distancing measures are imposed but hard to impose.
Bar closes at 10pm which was not advised during the check in process. No opportunity to have drinks delivered after this time.

The first room I was offered had a leaking shower valve and the bath half full. The porter assured me the room had been serviced during the long months of Covid closure.
Moved to a second room which I doubted had been comprehensively cleaned as I found a dirty shelf in the bathroom

Was a break away
Toilet didnt work properly, paid for executive double room got put in executive family room. No towels or robes in the room. Ordered breakfast in bed and didn't get what ordered. Paid full price and half facilities not available and staff was not informing of pool limitations and that had to book to enter the pool. Staff also quiet abrupt when checking in with everyone that checked in

We got a reasonable deal on a one night stay including dinner and breakfast. Aside from the pool and gym - which were both very nice, I'd describe the experience as rather basic. The check in was rather shambolic with everyone arriving at the same time and social distancing meaning that people were queued up out in the car park and the pouring rain. The evening meal was insanely salty and the loud music from the bar area could be heard in our room, despite it being some distance away. The room was clean aside from a fairly grim hairball by the bed.
During social distancing times it would make sense for them to encourage their guests to use room service, instead it's a £5 tray charge on even a cup of coffee, with the result that everyone goes to collect their drinks from what is a very small and enclosed bar area.
The staff were nice, but we had a wrong order arrive during our dinner and another wrong order arrive at breakfast. Not sure how it happened when on both occasions our orders were typed into their tablets.
I'd say it's worth visiting only if you're getting a good deal on the price. The experience may also improve after lockdown / social distancing etc has come to an end.

Called in for a drink and hoped for a Sunday lunch yesterday, 6th Sept, & considered staying overnight on our way to Scotland... Its just as cute & interesting as it always was when we used to stay here for weekends. This time we Hoped to have a brief but nice experience but very disappointed really. No Sunday lunch available on a Sunday at 1 pm but could get crisps at the bar....
Paid £11 For two SMALL glasses of wine...ok it's hotel prices, but no olives or small dish of nibbles is bad form.
But If we had ordered a hot chocolate, which is longer to prepare & less profit margin, we would have gotten a big dish of marshmallows.... I dont understand this rationale. So we decided to travel on . No wonder our European Spanish & French friends laugh at our weak hospitality services.
We won't be bringing them here.
On a positive note, the small outdoor pool is a great idea, but I dont fancy using it as it overlooks the car park so no privacy ...
The courtyard outside area was comfortable & well organised with large umbrellas and heaters, and the waiter was really pleasant and genuine.

Stayed over for my birthday and its was amazing. The staff and facilities couldn't have been better, definitely what me and my girlfriend needed after a horrible 2020. We also went to the wedding shop and spoke to liz who was fantastic with us in helping make our dream wedding come true. Had the most amazing hot stone massage from the masseur ellie and will be booking again very soon. All in all an amazing spa hotel with great staff, lovely rooms and delicious food.
