Stayed for 2 nights, 30th and 31st of August as a treat for my wife's birthday. Had a great stay in 2 lovely rooms, bars and restaurants were all first class. I was bowled over by the trouble the staff went to to make my wife's birthday special, massive thanks to Michelle, Franco, Yolanda and also the chef for the cake... fantastic!

Checkin was a breeze but finding our room was a hassle as we drove around the hotel twice before we got to the room as it’s not marked out anywhere.

My daughters had a separate room and hate spiders, they found at least 6. I even told them after getting rid of 3 at 11:00pm to call reception the next time.

The rooms are huge but they look a little tired. There was a draft in our bathroom from where the grout was missing and some of the levers and switches were falling apart.

The location is fantastic and the village shops are cute.

Lovely location and staff. The staff were lovely as always. The property was very busy, so despite checking in at 4pm rooms weren’t ready, spa was very busy & neighbouring guests so noisy very little sleep to be had. Won’t put us off staying again though.

I visited the hotel with my partner. Arrived slightly early so went to the bar. Waited at the bar where nobody spoke to us, eventually ordered a drink and was told it was table service. Found a table, drinks arrived, all good.
Check in straight forward, meal and spa was booked in advance via email. Room spacious, a little dated and dusty though.
Decided we wanted to visit pool earlier and staff were accommodating with this. Locker rooms weren't great, again very dated. Hydro pool lovely and warm but due to covid restrictions you only get 15 minutes, not hotels fault. We then moved to pool which seemed a bit chilly. Lady did offer us another 15 mins in hydro pool but we didn't want to hang about waiting.
Visited bar again before dinner, sat at a table this time. Lots of staff about but no one acknowledged us. Is it table service or not?! It felt a little unorganised and awkward.
I had already viewed the online vegan menu prior to going to the restaurant and decided what I wanted. When I asked for the vegan menu I was told I could only order from the main menu. There was only 1 vegan main meal on there which I didn't like. I asked another staff member and managed to bag a vegan burger and fries. The burger was cold and my fries tasted like they had been cooked with fish?! My partner ordered from main menu and his meal was good **if you are vegan and have viewed the online menu be aware this is not available or maybe check vegan options in advance before booking**. Breakfast was an improvement with both a vegetarian and vegan option.
Was it good value for money - I think the mixture of covid restrictions and the fact I wanted the choice of vegan food would make me say no. My partner on the other hand thought it was good value for money and enjoyed his food.

One night stay but a really good night out the room was very nice and as we booked a deal it was great value for money. The hydro pool was hot and made a nice change. The restaurant was excellent and all four of us enjoyed our meal afterwards the bar was busy but felt very safe and the staff all really helpful I asked for a Mojito at last orders and the barman went to collect the ingredients from the kitchen when it would have been easier to say no it was really nice as well.Breakfast was good all in all a really good day/night.

We booked a family room via booking.com and thanks to said site not relaying info the hotel only had a double. When we raised this with the hotel the manager did all he could to help but we had to accept a downgrade to a standard with kids topping and tailing but that’s no fault of the hotel staff . The hotel is a little dated in places but that doesn’t detract from the fact the beds are supremely comfy and the staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, the drop inn is old school but cosy and served probably the best sausage I’ve had in my life. Aside from the mix up with booking.com the hotel is nice. The pool, especially the infinity pool is a great facility although the view of the car park from the infinity pool is a little odd but again doesn’t detract from the pool itself . A good place for a stay if you want simple comfort.

Good Great location, lovely spa facilities, staff were helpful and attentive where required. Great place for country walks and great food in a nearby. The chocolate shop in the village was great quality! Our double standard room appeared to be recently decorated and met all our requirements in the balconied courtyard with contactless access. All servers wore masks and very good covid safeguarding had been put in place in the spa. Unfortunately the village isn’t all it appears. The pub is dated with a stark decor, and there is little much else sadly. A quaint shop for cards and children’s toys, a chocolate shop, interior designer, wedding shop and... that’s about it. Most frustrating was at breakfast my partner asked for some smoked salmon to go along with his eggs, not an unusual request I thought... the server went to ask the kitchen and they said they don’t do smoked salmon, event though we have stayed there previously and our needs were catered for... sadly he only had cereal, toast and tea for £15!!! For breakfast at thy price I do expect our needs catered for. Disappointing.

Very relaxing, clean and lovely place to stay. The hydro pool was absoloutely amazing and the spa was excellent. Everything was really clean and the room was recently refurbished, a decent size too. Staff were really helpful and accomodating. Nothing really, we just wanted to stay longer in the pool but this was due to the COVID restrictions and was necessary for safety. Shops were not all open, but again, this looks to be something that will happen again over time.

Booking was easy. I was emailed to book a spa slot, although I didn't realised I'd only booked the hydro pool, not the main pool. Booked dinner with ease. Very warm welcome when we arrived, and we were able to get into the room early. Spacious room...nothing special, but functional. Had hair dryer and tea and coffee facilities. The bed was very big, but more importantly very comfortable. Doors banging could be heard, as could some children running above us, so this walls/ceilings. Went to the bar for a drink, was supposed to be table service due to Covid, we sat down, but we were not approached. I went to the bar and asked if we order from the bar, to which I was told yes, bit confusing. Dinner was very pleasant, good service, and we didn't have to wait long. Breakfast...not particularly well organised. Had to wait a while to have our order taken. We finally ordered our food, but had a bit of a wait for tea and coffee. Food arrived, freshly cooked, however elements of the order was missing, such as juice, fruit and pastries, plus my poached egg. In fairness to the waitress, she rectified it quickly and professionally. Breakfast tasted good, but wouldn't say it was worth £15.50 per person. Manager presence was big when we visited, and they mucked in, possibly some staff shortage was an issue. All in all it was a good stay, just not very well organised at times. The hydro pool was lovely and warm, if not a tad odd having the view of the car park. Pool changing rooms need a lot of work, not pleasant at all. Also lockers require £1...feel they need a system that doesn't require residents to take money...as we simply went in our swim gear. We were not offered a robe either. Ideally I'd like to give 3.5 stars...it's not awful, and I'd go again they just need to tweak some things.

Well we arrived for our 20 year anniversary. I had booked a surprise for my hubby, had booked the room we stayed in for our wedding night, I had booked afternoon tea also, we went for a swim.
We had a fantastic time very relaxed just what the doctor ordered. All staff were very attentive from moment we arrived till we left, all food was very good.
I only have a couple of negative points are the room we stayed in room 11 you couldn’t shut the bathroom door easily and in the bar area the carpet was a little dirty.

Last minute getaway. Stayed several times and just wanted somewhere to relax for a few days in all this madness!!
Not disappointed- staff are always lovely and attentive can not fault them at all. Always had a smile despite some challenges with guests.
Hotel was clean and well organised.

Spa Break Lovely spacious room and comfortable bed. Meal in restaurant was good. Didn’t realise there was going to be quite few stairs to climb to get to our room.
