This is the second visit I have paid and I wasn’t disappointed. The facilities are very good, the hotel grounds are very attractive and there are some nice walks with stunning views. I love the village feel in the hotel, I definitely recommend exploring it, it’s so pretty and quaint. We used the spa facilities which were good, our room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was plentiful (buffet style) and tasty. We had a wonderful time.

We had a great time. We really liked the hydro pool which was like having a bath in the garden in the rain. The hotel was busy but there was no queues for anything and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend and intend staying there again

Lovely little last minute getaway, with the added bonus of a great thermal spa and amazing food!
Took advantage of the NHS/BlueLight thank you discount online and it was excellent value! The hotel is beautiful, set in the grounds of its own quirky little village, staff were awesome, very friendly and accommodating, even offering to move our room for us at no trouble at all on check in, due to a few stairs and my wife being on crutches with a broken ankle! Lunch in the bar area was fab and reasonably priced, and our evening meal was unbelievable! One of the nicest we have had! Will definitely be returning soon hopefully when we can both make full use of the spa facilities!

Had a lovely stay. The executive room was spacious and clean. I asked for a twin room but it was made up as a double, a quick call to Reception and housekeeping came and changed it. Could have done with a fridge in the room. The safe was locked and no information how to open and use it. Called reception and a staff member came to the room to show us. Food excellent. Staff friendly. Only thing that let it down was check in. All we were told was our room number. Wasn't informed that we had to book a time for breakfast etc, wasn't told where the restaurant or spa was and what times we could use it. No information given about the hotel at all which was disappointing.

I want to start by saying the food at the courtyard restaurant was fantastic! This review is solely based on the hotel. The check in experience was not good. We were travelling around the UK going to weddings etc, not looking at our emails a great deal to find an email (when we were about 2 hours away) saying that our online check in had expired, that we must pay for the room before we arrived and to call them or use the link provided immediately. When we've given card details at time of booking, this is completely unnecessary, you can take the charge if we don't turn up etc. It just felt very unwelcoming. I've always paid after a stay or on arrival, this was odd.
When we got to our room there was dried urine on the toilet seat. The hotel were very apologetic and sent someone to clean it straight away but we weren't off to a good start.
Having never stayed there before none of the facilities were explained to us until we went back and asked, not a big deal but would have been nice. We'd assumed there would be info in the room but there was nothing, not even the WiFi password just a room service menu.
The spa is good, if a little small. One of the saunas was out of order and the so called aroma room stank of BO. But you do get a lovely view of the car park and retirement village from the jacuzzi.
The breakfast was lovely and there was a large choice and compensated for the cost.
So overall it was a nice stay but I probably wouldn't choose to stay again. It has the look that it used to be quite high end but is now a little tired and things are starting to break etc. It was a good stopover.

Well I struck lucky with Leanne. Leanne is 'The Mother of Massage! ' The strength in those arms and hands is incredible, I've never felt anything like it! I trudged in and floated out!! Really friendly caring and professional, Leanne, you did a great job! 11/10Thank you

Superb Room was large and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was great, excellent breakfast and interesting and satisfying dinner. Good location too Parking was a bit of a challenge, mostly due to people not following the one way system. Also the hotel is up a steep hill so difficult if you have difficulty walking

Overall not as nice as it used to be...restaurant used to quite special but we found it to be of poor quality and poor choices for vegans...however breakfast was offered free of charge to us bec we were so disappointed at dinner which would have been lovely but that was awful too!! We were offered a discount next time we stay but don't want to return!!
