A good night sleep in comfortable beds but that was about it. A stopover while moving house. Carpets grubby in the room and throughout the hotel. Bathroom tile grout flaking. Needs a refurb. Restaurants not open due to lockdown and we were not informed in advance. Breakfast terrible. A huge amount of electric wires seen outside our window exposed to the rain and looked dangerous.

We stayed for a couple of nights for our 40th Anniversary just before lockdown and it was lovely. Spa was great and in with the price along with vouchers and free drink however what was really outstanding (apart from the lovely staff) was the amazing food in the restaurant - trully top class !
The only slightly disappointing part was the lunch menu in the bar, very basic.
The surrounding area is lovely for walks and a lovely cafe up the road however called Bakers which was lovely for lunch.

Can’t wait to visit again and take advantage of the fantastic spa facilities. Rooms are not part of main hotel building meaning you will get wet moving between Reception / dining and room, but room was lovely.

Even when faced with alooming national lockdown and under pressure to close, the hotel provided us with fantastic service. We would definitely like to return to the hotel on another occasion. The rooms was spacious and very comfortable. The spa was a delight and the surrounding walks around Jumbles and Entwistle reservoirs were provided stunning views.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our cocker spaniel Duncan made lots of new human friends. The put us at ease when he couldn't settle in the room and even made changes to accommodate our dining arrangements so that he could join us

This was a family trip of 5 to celebrate my husbands bday. Staff in restaurant were excellent in making us welcome and helping us enjoy the birthday dinner. Unfortunately rooms were not up to good standard carpets were faded and furniture a little tired looking. No hot water in room for morning showers on day2 and day3. The kids didn’t mind though. However staff did try to rectify this problem.

Great value for money, really friendly staff. Breakfast was a little rushed but over all I would recommend and will return. The spa was great and felt very friendly with all Covid measures in place to make you feel safe.

welcoming and friendly staff , great service.
Great value for money & well organised.
The only issue was the carpets appeared to be dirty and fake nails on guest room carpet & towels stained and needed cleaning.

On arrival it looked good the staff were very nice to talk to, the area looked clean and tidy. The room itself also looked good on first look, however there were no towels, clothes from another person still in the draws and on the floor, the bath had a scum ring around it, and no toilet brush. The meals are expensive and not so good, we used a booking agent had we booked direct we would have been given a £10.00 voucher of the price of the food seems a bit unfair.
