Good The spa and swimming facilities were amazing. The bed was really comfy. The location, scenery and setting was beautiful especially with the lovely weather. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The massage was perfect, just what we needed after working throughout the pandemic year. The cleaning facilities for covid were spot on, however people didn't follow the rules but that wasn't the hotels fault. We had to wait 2 hours for our breakfast which made us a little late to check out. Myself and my partner had asked for raisin crossiant and plain crossiant, we were given one small crossiant each however a few mins later I ordered all 3 crossiants and ended up with 6 crossiants all for myself, I would of preferred that amount the first time. The portion for breakfast is really small for the price of £16.50. When we first arrived, we were approached by a male approximately 50YO wearing a suit and with an Irish accent, who was quite rude. Instead of welcoming us, he instead asked us what we were doing here in a rude way. The room was okay, the decor was out of date compared to the pictures on the site. We paid for an executive room but didn't look like it. The safe in the room was broken so couldn't put any of our personal items away. We decided to have an afternoon tea on site, we were given 3x basic sandwiches ( ham & cheese, tuna and cheese & pickle), we would of liked different fillings which you wouldn't get anywhere else I.e roasted peppers & hummous , spicy chicken or local produce ( mini carrs pastie) . The desserts were good, the scones were delicious but we didn't get unlimited hot beverages, for the price of £ 33 and for the beautiful hotel & Spa, there should of been unlimited drinks. Over priced for what we received and the time we spent enjoying it.

A great Bank Holiday weekend The location is terrific, with lots of walks from the doorstep. The spa facilities were very nicely kept. The layout of the whole hotel was quirky, with the old buildings and new blending together. The little green spaces between the buildings were all available for guests to use for relaxation. The dog got a warm welcome too. Breakfast was a bit sparse.

Unfortunately I got to Last Drop Village too early in the day to be able to visit the main shop or try the food. I have been here before and it's ok.

My friend and I bought the spa package at Last Drop Village as we were desperate for a massage. Let’s just say this purchase did not disappoint! We had access to the pool, thermal suite and then a massage as well as Afternoon tea (which as I fussy eater I was dreading but it was perfect) and only for £69 (on a weekday). The masseuse was amazing and accommodating to my preferences. The only reason I am not giving it 5/5 is because the email we got to confirm the day said arrival time 9.30, swimming time 12.30 so we got there for 9.30 however we were then told that due to Covid we weren’t allowed in the pool area until 12.15. Now I completely understand the need for allotted times for the different areas however if the arrival time on the email is stated at 9.30 there should be something else to do between those time or it should say come 15-30 minutes before first slot. We decided to walk around the village which was lovely and luckily the weather was beautiful so there wasn’t an issue but many of shops were closed at that time and there wasn’t much to do but sit and wait. Other than that would 100% recommend.

Second visit, we do like the place. It's a nice hotel and grounds and the pool / spa is excellent. The packages with dinner are good value. This time we didn't book dinner and ate in the bar which is really expensive, won't make that mistake again. What spoils the place is one or two rude staff (most are lovely though, and the rude ones really stand out) and also some of the clientele. Smokers outside your window. There was actually a sign saying don't smoke here, smoke in the designated area, but the sign was next to a cigarette bin!! In the morning there were cocktail glasses and cigarette ends on the grounds where my kids were playing. Just takes the sheen off the relaxing stay when you're worried about kids standing on glass.

Spa facilities excellent. Room nice although missing a remote and hairdryer but quickly got sorted. Evening meal lovely but lunch and breakfast poor quality produce. Waited an hour for lunch without being told of the wait. Overall had a great time but food needs to be better.

Our wedding anniversary We got a room upgrade as it was our anniversary . The room was beautiful . And the special touches for our anniversary was excellent as we got married at The Last Drop in 2018. We was disappointed to see houses are being built around the hotel. The scenery was once amazing when relaxing in the spa.

Cost of rooms is very reasonable especially as it includes visits to the Spa and Pool which are wonderful (but need to be booked in advance). Staff are friendly and keen to welcome guests back. It felt safe, with sensible (not intrusive) Covid measures in place. Restaurant gets busy and service can be slow, but food is high quality.

Overall really nice place to stay. Aaron who was serving in the pub, was so helpful and a credit to the hotel. Our room was really nice and we both had a super night's sleep. The evening meal was fab and we also received a £10 voucher and a free pass of wine. Really good!!!!

Seamless check in and meal booking process. Staff very polite and helpful. The spa was equally well managed and facilities good. A few let downs due to some staff just not being on the ball and an overall lack of guidance and organisation in the bar and restaurant. Cobwebs in the room and surface missing a wipe. Very very slow service, waiters ignoring tables that needed clearing and further delaying courses coming out. Not looking at the room and acknowledging guests trying to get their attention. Gluten free options offered did not always match the chefs “style” of cooking - using gluten containing packet sauce mix and gravy granules for a peppercorn sauce is pretty poor in a place of this standard, as a chef, I feel I can comment! Over nuked limp vegetables and frozen chips too. Frozen mushrooms on the breakfast, the tiniest sausage ever served, undercooked tomato and 1 tiny egg made up the breakfast - they had run out of butter and gluten free bread despite us pre ordering weeks in advance. A few rookie errors like spraying over tables to clean and casting the spray over the tables and food next to it. Waiters walking past rubbish on the floor and not picking it up, even when empty handed. Also ignoring a guest who vaped in the spa and bar without being challenged was not good. We were offered a free drink in compensation for the hour wait in-between starter and main course. Overall ok but not the standard I would expect from here.

It was my wifes 30th birthday so i took her away for the night, the place was really nice with very friendly staff, facilities were clean and tidy and looked after. The price was really good but deserves to be more.

We stayed for an extended weekend to celebrate a family birthday. The leisure facilities, and meal experiences in the bar and restaurant really added to a sense of luxury during our stay. Staff are friendly and helpful, and catered for my dietary requirements well (gluten free and dairy free).
Worth paying extra for an executive room if you don't like soft bouncy beds. We have visited a number of times and would recommend, and go again

Received as a gift for spa weekend nothing too much trouble. Menu isn’t extensive but is reasonably priced and excellent quality. Lovely location very covid safe. Bedroom very clean and spa facilities excellent and clean. Didn’t have treatments as fully booked up

Good The spa facilities were excellent (go to reception to book directly). Rooms perfectly clean and adequate, a desk that a chair could fit under would have helped. Restaurant meal was OK. Breakfast very good. All staff pleasant. No proper desk in the room.
