Very nice hotel stay, although we did book a cottage and on arrival soon learnt it was a hotel room family room which was ok but was really hoping for a cottage room. We used the pool and spa and it was lush. We received 2 free drinks and a 2 course meal which we paid extra to make it 3 course . Food was very nice and staff friendly .
£10 off voucher also given to us on arrival.

My wife and I held our daughters wedding reception recently, it was a wonderful day.
Staff service was excellent, both friendly and helpful and food was excellent too.

Had an amazing night away at unbelievable rate including room, spa, dinner, breakfast plus some added benefits for booking direct. Can’t believe the value for what we got.
We stayed in a cottage room. If you are a light sleeper you may want a different style of room as the cottages are grouped together and you can hear some noise. (This is advertised at booking so I knew to expect this and I can sleep through anything!)
The room was huge and spotless with all extra ready in room. Robes, towels and bedding smelt amazing-really fresh. Bathroom was big with shower and bath.
The food was amazing! I didn’t want it to end.
The thermal suites at the spa was so relaxing and left us feeling refreshed.
All the team members where polite and courteous and they even put a birthday plate and card in the room for my partners birthday.
Throughly enjoyed-highly recommend.

Everything was absolutley brilliant, the only thing I would say is I was a bit disappointed with the food in the evening and breakfast. I just felt there wasn't much choice and when the food did come it wasn't amazing.

Great hotel. Spa is great, nice location, friendly staff. There is no aircon in the rooms, we were staying on a hot day. Room gets hot and only tiny top part of the window can be opened.

Overall our stay was good. The room was nice and clean. The spa facilities were excellent and well organised organised. Service in the restaurant wasn’t great - we waited a long time for dessert and at breakfast my plate was being cleared whilst my husband was still eating. The breakfast was really poor and let the stay down!

The hotel and facilities were fantastic. Whilst it has its old country house charm it was also very clean. Apart from there were a few discarded items under the bed.

The end of our stay was hampered by being charged £16.50 each for breakfast to be brought out 1 sausage, 1 egg scrambled, 1/2 a grilled tomato and a few small mushrooms and a table spoon of beans. I left breakfast feeling robbed by what I had received and even though it’s not a buffet I still think a normal portion should be given or even offered seconds for the price or £16.50

Utilised the keyworker offer and for £119 it was exceptional value. Pre booked the pool and spa and wasnt too busy at half four. The hydropool is lovely! Really impressed with room which was one of the cottages. Really spacious everything we needed bathroom also huge. We ate evening meal which was really good only niggle was the service was very quick! Bar prices are ok for a hotel and as part offer had 10 pound voucher to spend so cheap round. Breakfast was also good quality. Nice fresh fruit, pastries, and full english breakfast just missing a hash brown.
Overall we had an excellent experience will be looking forward to returning in the near future

So chilled a relaxed. Staff are so helpful. Spent too much in the village shops 😂. We went on the hotel map walk. Some staff didn’t know where it started. The trail could do with marking out property as we got lost 4 times 🙈. It was fun but we were late for lunch 🥗.

We booked the spring break getaway and couldn't believe the value. The whole village is lovely and relaxing, staff are great, the food was tasty. I would recommend book direct, as we got around £20 of free drinks vouchers. Would definitely return.

Everything was very nice with the hotel. The staff very helpful. Apart from the breakfast, that wasn’t great. I believe it was far too expensive and not a lot for your money. You get better value from the Premier Inn.

Tired in places Pool was a nice feature though it seemed really busy given COVID restrictions.. Breakfast was good. Women’s changing room was piled high with dirty towels and didn’t get the sense anyone was cleaning them throughout the day. Lots of the showers had broken poles so had to hold the shower head. Room was tired with 2 out of 3 light bulbs not working, cobwebs in the bathroom and toothpaste marks on the vanity unit. Ate in the restaurant - food options were very limited but we enjoyed what we had

Looks lovely as you approach the hotel, there is a building site next door (houses being built) but never disturbed the peace. Hotel reception staff very friendly and personable, and even though we arrived early our room was ready. Room was ok ( we had a family room), it was clean and spacious but was nothing like the website, which shows scatter cushions, bed throws and pictures on the walls. Nice touch of chocolates in the room, but would be even better if there was one for each person (2 chocs but 3 people). There were only 2 robes and slippers but there were 3 of us, and whilst they said its for the adults only, they did provide a 3rd one for our son who is 13. The rooms and corridors in the sleeping areas are very dated and could do with an update. We had lunch on the terrace and we were served very quickly but there were other guests who had been waiting for an hour to be served. Lunch menu was varied, albeit some of the items were rather expensive. The outdoor area around the shops and the pub is a nice area to relax. The staff on the whole were OK, but some of the younger staff could benefit from some training as they really don't interact with the guests and some look as though they would rather be somewhere else. The staff seem to gather round the bar in the evening rather than clearing tables, offering more drinks etc.
We booked a table in the restaurant in the evening and the food was lovely (son said the sirloin steak was amazing). The main man on the restaurant was very efficient, and attentive. We booked the Spa for 4.30pm and arrived early but as it was quiet they let us in early, it was a lovely clean pool, plenty of seating and the hydro pool was great. Breakfast was lovely, husband said it was the best he had ever had (particularly the sausages).
Overall a decent stay.

Ok stay. Food was lovely. Spa was great. Rooms are dated and don't reflect the website pictures. Some staff are great, but quite a few of the younger staff need training, no interaction with the guests, slow service.

Would stay again. Very good value. Food lovely & got vouchers for free drinks & money off bill. The village it was located in was very picturesque & quiet. There is a lot of different attractions nearby too.
