We had a family party of 45 people,some who hadn't seen each other for a number of years.From the organisation of the party with Shayna and Haley ,to the arrangements and food on the night everything was first clsss.Nothing was too much trouble

We choose the hotel for their dog friendliness which met our expectations, however we were disappointed to be send out to the pub on our last breakfast while it was raining and we had not coat. Even that the breakfast area was not that crowded.

Excellent stay from start to finish our room was excellent we had sitting room & separate bedroom very clean & tidy the room was warm & welcoming the food in the restaurant was excellent & service top class will definitely be going back

We always stay here whenever possible. It is by far the best place in the Bolton area. Always guaranteed a warm welcome from the staff, wether it be the Hotel manager or one of the very hard working housekeepers. Excellent restaurant too nothing too much trouble.

Excellent facilities at this hotel. The gym is large and the pool area is excellent. Lots of good quality local restaurants. We visited Secreto Darwen which was excellent. Breakfast was served in a lovely setting and of good quality.

We've stayed here many times for family get-togethers and are always impressed with the quality of the rooms and the friendliness of the service. The spa and pool are a bonus, plus the gorgeous location perched on the edge of the moors. The full English breakfast is a particular draw for us too! We will be back - happy customers.

pleasant but overpriced at £150 for a basic standard room
the room was big and bed was very comfortable, lovely crisp clean sheets
unfortunately the shower curtain was mouldy round the bottom and the top of the shower rail was quite rusty

We enjoyed our stay, very good value for money. Food was lovely and really friendly staff. The thermal suite was relaxing. It is such a shame about the view from the thermal pool (housing estate and car park).

We went for our 1st anniversary 23/12/22 as we got married there last year. All staff a were brilliant and overall it was a relaxing 2days for us. The only issue was we didn't get told that breakfast finished 9am not 1030. However Franco was great and sorted a full cooked breakfast for us.

Beautiful traditional buildings and great quality food. Room was great, warm and comfortable. Thermal suite was lush and staff very helpful abs friendly. Nice shops on site too and welcoming bar and lounge.

Great stay, good price, lovely hotel!
We stay regularly and on this occasion booked an executive room which was worth the extra (room 112), comfy beds and very quiet room. Spa was clean and not too busy, dinner was tasty with great service. Breakfast was very busy, we didn’t get tea or coffee which would have been nice but staff were working hard. Lovely break and we will be back.

Exceptional
Everything. This Hotel is modern yet traditional and quaint. The rooms are beautiful ,well equipped, beds are super comfy and staff are friendly and helpful. There is a lovely spa with lots of facilities and a nice hot bubbly spa pool with infinity pool. There are restaurants, a pub, a tea room, ,lots of lovely little shops to look at and it's set in picturesque grounds. Perfect. We stayed for Christmas Day and Boxing day and just loved it

Pure relaxation. Lovely staff, beautiful setting and the best spa facilities ever! Having been several times I flew my sister over from Ireland for a surprise stay. She absolutely loved and is looking at booking again. The spa is the perfect way to unwind and recharge! It is just pure bliss! I have stayed 4 or 5 times and the service is wonderful. Staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The bar staff give great wine advice and the food is lovely. Hearty portions for lazy, relaxing stay!

Lovely night away. Friendly staff, and beauty therapist, highly reccomend booking a massage with elle, amazing treatment. Evening meal and breakfast was nice and plenty of choice.

Nice hotel with decent food, and good buffet breakfast. Good value if you can get a B&B deal etc. Rooms were clean and a decent size. Spa with sauna , steam room and giant jacuzzi pool plus large swimming pool were lovely though check opening times. Staff friendly. Hypnos beds were comfy but pillows quite hard- it would be good if there was a firm and softer one to choose from. Also couldn't see a way to change room temp but we could open the window. Good they welcome dogs too. Sound proofing between rooms wasn't great but no one was too noisy next to us. Have stayed before and would go back.

So i had an amazing full body inner calm massage today with Leeanne! She was amazing and made me feel at ease and relaxed throughout! The facilities were very clean and welcoming. Highly recommend! And will definitely be revisiting for another massage!

We had the 2 night Christmas package. The main hotel and guest rooms were great. The Christmas lunch was more of a canteen mass catering event which we weren't expecting, although the food was good considering the amount of people they were feeding.

Christmas break
The room was lovely and clean, and the bed was comfy with great pillows. The bathroom had beautiful bathroom products and the bathrobe and slippers were a nice touch. The Spa was beautiful we had a swim and a dip in the hydro pool. We had an excellent evening meal on Christmas eve in the courtyard restaurant and the service in the bar and restaurant was superb.
The buffet breakfast was not kept hot enough for our liking, and the Christmas day lunch in The Pennine suite was below what I would expect for this venue. The food was overcooked and dry and definitely not worth what we paid.

Great special offer for blue light card holders. Only down side is thermal spa was closed for repair. Food was excellent and great value for money. The hotel and grounds were excellent and well maintained.
