Had a nice stay at the hotel got a seal but this stay was a good example of you get what you pay for.
The spa is lovely although there isn't anywhere to get a drink etc..
Don't be fooled by the pictures of the room on the website. They are quite dated and the pictures don't reflect the room types.
The restaurant is really nice and the food was fabulous.
The staff are lacking a bit in customer service. Upon check in we weren't given any information or directions to the spa. No information about breakfast or dinner. Just given a room key and sent on our way. The spar stuff wete the same no instructions or anything its almost felt like I had two heads at some points. I feel like a better welcome and guide to the facility's would have really changed our experience. I think the staff would benefit from some extra customer service training. I wouldn't recommend to friends or family tbh pay the bit extra for a much better service.

This is my 2nd stay here and i will visit again.
The leisure facilities are fab and is the reason why I will return the spa is pleasant but a little pricy compared to prices at other beauty shops for a massage but you expect that at a spa.
The rooms are pleasant but could do with a bit of a refurb but it does the job.
We had a evening meal at hotel restaurant and I couldn't fault the food it was amazing totally worth every penny

Fab deals and I'll be taking advantage of the blue light deal too. Spa was amazing. Jessica was attentive and helped me relax so much.

It is pricey but when you break it down for what you get its worth the price. Check is 11am which is great but i dont feel you should pay to use the spa till 1pm. It should be included . We didn't use it on arrival as we were going out and needed to pay 30£ to use it for 2 yours the next day!!

You can take away the pizzas as we were going out that night.

Amazing hotel would definitely recommend. Clean modern rooms ,spa facilities although you need to book in advance as they are usually full on weekends. On site pub , restaurant , hotel bar and small village shops so there is plenty to do while your here. The once lovely views have been ruined by a new housing estate so there isn’t much to see from the thermal suite but apart from that it’s a lovely hotel and we enjoyed it.

Arrived here this afternoon to a lovely warm welcome, infact the hotel is full of lovely friendly staff. We checked in to room 27 in the court yard (classic room) warm, cosy and smart with a new renovated bathroom. Tea, coffee, iron, ironing board shampoo ect all the bits n bobs you need. We popped to the pub for one and a game of darts followed by a trip to the spa and saunas before relaxing before dinner. Lovely 2 course dinner in the resturant (although limited menu)there is also a bar menu and now enjoying a few drinks in the hotel bar before retreating to our comfy bed. Would highly recommend this homely hotel to lift your spirits. Thanks "last Drop Inn" 🙂

Pleasantly surprised with our stay, as we had purchased a deal, which included a meal and glass of Prosecco. The meal was lovely and Prosecco nice too.

The staff were friendly and helpful at reception, restaurant and anyone else we spoke with.

Our room was upgraded, which was really lovely - with Espa products as an added bonus.

The spa facilities were very nice and just what the 'doctor ordered' - only wish we had spent 2 nights at the hotel to have made use of the facilities for an added day.

Thank you

Great gym, good spa, great access to the Pennines.

Ensure you request a room with a refurbished bathroom. Thank me later.

Everyone is very friendly which makes the visit pleasant!

Will probably stay here again, but this is due to the gym facilities , rather than the food, or consistency of the room quality..

Stayed for one night as a couple
DBB Clean, friendly, amazing food
Reasonably priced food and drink
Spa enjoyable - small but not overcrowded
Shops were not great and I expected more in the “village”
Great price for the package and if you are happy to simply chill and relax - get booking!

Given a voucher at Christmas for an afternoon tea for two, we chose the Last Drop as it was fairly near where we live. We arrived early and were sat down reasonably quickly. The service was very efficient with friendly chit chat thrown in. Everything was fresh and tasty and typical of what we expected. We went home full and satisfied.
Merry Christmas.

I made this booking months in advance of my stay but when it came to online check in time I realised I wasn't getting the room standard I requested.

Following an email to the hotel I received an apology and free upgrade to what I later discovered was the bridal suite.

During the upgrade process my booking was moved forwards a day, to the day before I was due to arrive! Dinner, that I did not want, had also been added at an additional cost.

Fortunately I was able to visit the hotel and rectify the booking.

On arrival on the correct day, at the correct time my room wasn't ready.

The bridal suite sounds very grand, it isn't. The room is big and has a separate lounge area with TV and coffee/tea making facilities but the furniture is old and grubby. The bedroom area is large with a comfy bed but during the night the wind was howling through one of the windows blowing the curtains which allowed outside lighting to flash across the room. It was only in the morning that we found that this particular window could not be secured and had been flapping all night.

The bathroom is a reasonable standard but the over bath shower floods the bathroom because of a poorly fitted seal on the shower screen.

The central heating was very noisy and the room was cold over night, in hindsight due to the faulty window.

The issues were raised at checkout.

Since my stay I have completed an online survey which is supposedly seen by the general manager, this included my personal email address and booking reference.

I did not receive any acknowledgment to the survey and felt that my concerns were not being treated seriously so I emailed the general manager directly asking if he had seen the survey, there was no response.

So a week later I emailed him again, there was no response.

I note however, that he does respond to comments that are publicly visible, so watch this space.

Overall the room (if the window, heating and bathroom were sorted) would be okay but the quality of it doesn't reflect its price, there are better, cheaper options available a short taxi ride away.

Great stay but hotel needs a little more TLC Great location, gorgeous views and a friendly place to be. Most of it is well presented and the staff are really friendly, accomodating and professional. The bar is open until customers go to bed, too. Which is a real bonus. And although I didn't get to try it, the hot pool with a scenic view looks fabulous (even if it does overlook the car park!). The hallway carpet is in serious need of disposal. It is wearing bald in points and despite being regularly vacuum clened, it is one of the most stained that I have seen in recent times. The design is one of the blander 1980s designs, and it is doing the hotel a diservice. Although the hotel does make sure that the hot buffet breakfast and continental offer is plentiful, it is also somewhat poor value for money at £17 per person. Especially as few of the products appear to be of premium quality. There's a cafe near me that does the a very similar quality breakfast for £5.50.
